After The Game Today

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

After The Game Today

Post by dvbrisgooner1 »

We took a coach to Ashburton today and were parked in the official coach-park behind the clock-end of the ground. On our way back to our coach we were abused and threatened by a bunch of tossers from Man Utd. This continued with everyone who walked past their coach in an attempt to reach their own transport. Somehow this did not kick off as it might have done - the two police officers nearby did a good job as did Arsenal's security staff, although there was a long stand-off between us Gooners and the knobs from the North-West (my Dad really upset them by telling them to "fuck off back to Bournemouth you *word censored*"). There was a massive puch-up, though, outside The Armoury which saw the mounted police intervening.

The point I'm trying to make is that Arsenal must re-assess the coach parking and ensure that away fans are not parked in the same area. When we spoke to an Arsenal steward and asked why they were parked in the same area he explained that Utd are considered "low-risk for trouble". That is absolutely ridiculous - Utd have the biggest "firm" in the country. For Christ's sake Arsenal, sort it out, there were a lot of frightened children around the coach area today, and it's the sort of thing that could be easily avoided.

Sorry to hear about today & kinda wish i was there now
Problem with Utd is that there's no Manchester based fans much around so there all from London thus making them hard to spot

I know what you mean with Utd fans last season when I went up to OT when me and my mate were going back to out car we had to walk with the Mancs and we both had our shirts on with jackets on top but the yellow was coming below the jacket on mine and my mate got a little carried away with the ADE-BAY-OR chant and we received bucketfuls of abuse. Just verbal though but still.

A couple of them where in hysterics with one another in saying that Emirtaes looks like lego land.

And some teenager came over to us and started arguing that this was his first ever Utd match and that we had 'ruined' for him.

Surprisingly neither had Manchester accents.

We must of gone out about the game & the Newcastle being 3-0 down on the telly

With the Utd fans i nearly had trouble when i went OT last year, came out with a huge smile on my face & suddenley some fans of ours sing 1-0 to the Arsenal & everything is to get into the Utd fans & a Manc comes past me flash cockney bastards then a group of Utd fans chant Utd Utd & old bill come so i thought i'd get into the car park quickly (i was with the Arsenal supporters club) before it kicked off, dunno if it did but i was the first on the coach
Plus i don't like wearing colours too often, i never for away games & Spurs as i find it a risk to & even as well at the home gae in Januray some bloke behind got punched on the nose by a Utd fan & ran off, it's a risky thing with them & esp Spurs

there was some 'exchanging of words' and such like outside the ground just before the steps down to the armoury between some 'mancs' and gooners: i dont think the mancs were liking it so thats why it might have kicked off down at the armoury

I've said it before and I'll say it again; Manure "fans" are 90% crunts.

It is a certain type of wanker that follows them. No matter what country you're in, the worst arsehole "fans" are always Manure's lot.

My mate had his scarf dragged off his neck by a Manure wanker outside the Grove last season, right in front of some cops. My mate jumped on the tosser and wrestled his scarf back and then the OB finally broke them up.

Manure crunts...
