Time up for lehmann??

Post by dodger445 »

How much longer can we keep faith with is man, two games in., two cock ups! And he was lucky against fulham it didnt cost us, i know he has been great for us, but i cant help thinking it one year to many, just like the mistake me made with seaman.
Almunia is a great keeper and has never let us down, i think wenger needs to do exactly what he down a few years back, drop lehmann! it will give him the kick up his arse he needs!

better days........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3J5jjcJWSTU

I have to agree with Arthur 445 Lehmann`s time is up.He has been great in the past remember the save from Raul in the Champions League and of course the penalty save in the semi final against Villiareal.Sometimes Arsene is too loyal time for Almunia to be given his chance

I did a long post in arseland on the keeper situation and as long as Jens if fit then he should play, he wins us games and has that class the other two as yet lack

Almunia is just as gaff prone and I know nothing about the Pole.

Almunia doesn't worry me as much as he seems to worry others but he doesn't have the class of Lehmann, whom I believe can (still) win us games.

And Fabianski gets votes....interesting...on the basis that nobody has seen him play but he's got to be a better punt than error-prone Jens and clown Almunia.

Great reasoning!

I still think Jens has the best persona (right now) and quality to be first choice ... However, he needs to be dropped for a while, just to send out the message that 'although possession is nine-tenths of the law, we do not encourage/reward slackness and gaffes' .. I am sure the rest will do him good ...

every game Almunia has played this season we have won,He has conceded just 4 goals. At the moment he is the best keeper at the club,If Wenger didn"t think so Lehmann would have been straight back in the side now he is fit(!) again

As much as i rate him as a keeper he really shot himself in the foot by speaking out against Arsene Wenger the other day still i hope both parties can solve their differnces and get on what their both good at.

I've seen him play regularly for Legia. I'm sure he's a very good goalkeeper.
My only concern is that may not be an imposing, commanding, keep the defenders on their toes kinda guy.

Technically he's our best keeper and very young too. He could be with us for 15 years.

I am a huge fan of Lehmann's abilities and I think Wenger was wrong to leave him out. However, his behaviour this week, with quotes in the press etc mean he should never play for Arsenal again.

I don't think for one minute that Almunia should be playing for Arsenal, so I would like to see if Fabianski is up to it. This won't happen all the time we are winning, but we need to realise we are winning in spite of Almunia, who has got away with a whole raft of errors during his run, simply because his team-mates have got him out of trouble.

over the years lehmann has been great including helping us to the champions league final but at the age he is it's about time we shipped him out...to many mistakes are not what we need. as for almunia he's a great keeper and until fabianski (quality) is ready he is the man for the job.
