As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
It will be one of those tight games with little given either side and then we will score a late winner. No matter what happens Arsenal will win next sunday
REALLY
You're probably right.
I was confident we'd beat Villa, and we drew... I was then sure we'd beat ManUre, but we lost! ... but now that my confidence is shot, and I expect defeat at Stamford Bridge, we'll probably end up turning them over
Chelsea are currently a much better team than us. ofcourse we could get a freak result, but Arsenal on their best day vs Chelsea on their best day = Massive win for Chelsea.
Let's hope Arsene realises our weak points and starts with the following line-up:
Fabiansky\Mannone, Sagna, Vermealan, Gallas, Clichy\Silvestre (will at least give Joe Cole a fight), Song, Diaby\Ramsey, Cesc, Rosicky(He's better at defending than Nasri is, can help our full back), Arshavin, Bendtner (out and out striker).
We can't attack in the numbers we attacked during the Manure game, because Chavs will kill us if we do. I hope we can keep 3 players at the back at all times.
I prefer Ramsey over Diaby, because he won't give the ball away so cheaply, but both of them are twice the player Denilson is.
Almunia can't be between the sticks, he's shit, and his confidence is not there too. I couldn't care less who starts ahead of him.
Bendtner should stay forward and try to keep the ball and wait for our midfield players to come up and help him. I believe he could really fit our system.
I just hope we can score first, because it's so depressing to see us chasing almost every match we play agaisnt the big teams.
Chelsea are in great form, but they aren't invincible. We can give them a fight, if we play our cards right.
As was said above, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that we won this game.........
going to be very hard though and a Chelsea win is obviously the most likely result on current form.
I go
Wookie
Eboue
Gallas
TV
Sagna (yep, at left back)
Song
Fabregas
Rosicky
Diaby (seems most useful up front at the moment and his height along with Nick would at least give us some bulk up front)
Bendtner
Arshavin
Would be delighted with any sort of result, but realistically ...... the best that can be hoped for is a further demonstration of how inadequate this team is - how lacking in fight and determination, how devoid of any sort of tactical appreciation of the game and the opposition, how unable to play with and maintain any sort of shape, and how much we need a new and better player in just about every part of the pitch. Surely, surely, the penny will drop with someone at the club before too long that blind faith and patching up and making do WILL NOT WORK.
When we sparked into life yesterday at 3-1, I said I'd rather lose 5-1 than get a draw. Similar applies Sunday. I actually hope we get annihilated. What else will make Wenger see the light?
Either way, the Chavs gave Billy Gallas some relentless abuse at the Grove. I particularly recall them singing "You're not captain any more."
I urge everyone going on Sunday to be as sympathetic to Terry's current plight. He's a pikey twat and deserves all the shit we can give him.

You are a complete moron!! Sorry but you are! you would rather we had lost 5-1 than drawn 3-3, where is the logic in that? when you are going for a championship, its better to get 1 point than none, and for your rival to get 1 point instead of 3...thats basic mate...come on!!
As for sunday, im not feeling confident, but....wouldnt it just be typical Arsenal to go and win it! We really are the strangest team in the league!

At the price of Wenger going on to say what character and spirit the team had to fight back thus vindicating his selection, while masking the previous 80 minutes of being comprehensively outclassed by the likes of Park and Fletcher and a 50-year old Scholes? No thanks.
I've stood by Wenger for too long. His stubborness is costing us big time. We're a team all on our own in 3rd. Way better than the rest, but way behind the top 2. I think the hidings we've had off the Chavs and United at home this year are the only sort of thing that will make Wenger question what the fcuk he's doing starting with the likes of Denilson and Almunia.
We have no chance of winning this league with this squad. Fluking a draw yesterday might hide that fact to Wenger, but not me. You can fool all of the people some of the time, and even some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. And Wenger is taking a great number of us for fools. Including myself as long as I'm still paying over a grand for my season ticket.

Isn't that the great thing about football - someone expresses their opinion but gets called a moron for it.
In any other industry, a large company making the same mistakes over and over again would be made to face up to the truth by customers, shareholders, investors.
But in football, people wanting to watch Arsenal have to shell out a couple of grand a year but they then have to abide by the code that no-one must dare criticise or have a different opinion. Disagreeing with Arsene does not make him a moron!

Disagreeing with Wenger is one thing thats fine...to say you would rather arsenal lost 5-1 than drew 3-3 is a moronic comment, like the way its expressed or not...its true!
