Worst Ever Players

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I am sure people are just plucking names out of the air as saying Williams and Kanu is fucking stupidity!

Total agreement here Gus. Willo was a hero of mine at the time too. A player with a fair amount of skill who could also be a nasty bastard when called upon. Also a fellow Gooner so enough said I think. :)

Williams also had the classic footballer haircut too - and a nasty bit of work!

Definitely a Gooner, born in Stoke Newington.

Would have got more England caps were it not for having a bust up with Bobby Robson in typical Williams fashion. Also publicly slated Don Howe after he left Arsenal, then publicly slated George Graham when he sold him.

I think Jens Lehmann graduated from the Steve Williams school of Anger Management.

Read down the thread very quickly but I could hardly believe David Hillier only got one mention

Carter, Morrow, Selley and Hillier, was there a midfield ever sillier

For those who promised so much, yet delivered so little it would have to be Supermac!
Yeah okay he wasn't the worst ever but his self publicity would have had you believe he was the best ever which he clearly wasn't.

Can't really disagree with Gus for the top prize.

As said already probably, id never have Steve Williams on this list he had such a great attitude and was a f*cking hard tackler he is on my list of fave players, it was him that allowed the better footballers to play like Davis, Rix and Robson

I'd like to add Colin Hill.

The guy played a full season at right back and looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights every time he got the ball.

His game plan consisted of trying his hardest to not get the ball and then as soon as he did, position himself so that he could hoof it as far up the pitch as possible in the hope it would never come back his way.

Jeff Blockley! Never liked him! I was at leicester, the first time we played them after we got rid. I got thrown out for saying rude words to him!
As for the Raphael Meade comment (rapist!) His brother, victor, took the rap for him!

Kiwomya had a 100% starts:goals strike rate
without Wreh we would not have won the 98 double
Kanu had various bits of genius skill - flipping the ball over LukeYoungs head and doing voodoo on songoo in goal4 superdepor is enough 2keep him off this list

As someone who is a Law Graduate I'd like to suggest

a) make sure your evidence for that statement is sound
b) get a good lawyer

or

c) retract it.

You missed out Ray Hankin Rebel and Craig McKernon
I'd be interested to know how you judged Hankin and McKernon to be shite when Hankin played less than 30 minutes of first team football and McKernon didn't play any first team football.
Well one thing is for sure they were never Arsenal players along with alot of them other players mentioned .Change the heading to worst signings then if you want to !
