Wenger has decided to leave out the big guns for this match. Cesc, Rosicky, Hleb & Toure all being rested.
Squad is as follows:
Jens Lehmann
Abou Diaby
Bacary Sagna
Lassana Diarra
Eduardo
William Gallas
Denilson
Mathieu Flamini
Alex Song
Gilberto
Gael Clichy
Manuel Almunia
Emmanuel Adebayor
Nicklas Bendtner
Emmanuel Eboue
Armand Traore
Justin Hoyte
Theo Walcott
Is Wenger right to leave out four key figures? He has said that he wants early qaulification so that he can rest players, has he jumped the gun or do you think we have more than enough taelnt in the rest of the squad to beat Slavia in their own back yard?
Personally I am a little disappointed that we are not going for the jugular
^^ yeah I can see that but I see a squad there that can go all out to win the game. We dont have to fear this lot, and the young lads are full of it at the moment. I dont see a problem here..
And for the record. I think Adebayor needs a rest and Bendtner should get a run of games now, maybe till Chelsea...
Suprised he is resting Rosicky he needs games not a rest. Will be interesting to see who plays in goal as Fabianski is not in the squad. Also who will partner Gallas? Song or Gilberto. I would start Theo and Eduardo upfront and "rest" Ade.We only need a point to qualify so this squad should be good enough
Well we won"t see the Carling Cup boys but we are sure to see a bit of a mix up. I would like to see Ade on the bench as he is not producing lately so i would put Dudu and Walcott/Bendtner up front. As for midfield I would go Eboue, Denilson, Bertie, Rosicky but I would go with whatever Arsene goes with.
According to the club Rosicky and Toure have slight knocks. virtually impossible to predict the formation with the players he's taking.
I was also hoping to kill it tomorrow as we have a tough run coming up after Wigan and don't need to be frigging around scrabbling a point in the CL. I would have thought 3 points tomorrow and play all the youngsters for the other 2 games. Still Arsene knows!
Rosicky not fit now there is a surprise NOT. I must say I feel a bit let down. I pay big bucks to travel to Prague and waant to see the best we got. But in Arsene I trust. We should still win I hope.
i hope diarra gets a run out in centre midfield,, other then that wengers doing the right thing,, we have steaua at home to wrap things up and in fairness with our squad we should still win on wed nite

Is Tomas the new Freddie? how often can one player get injured?Remember that awful tackle Helb recieved v West Ham yet he was playing in the following game.Time for Wenger to get tough with him

I dont think Wenger shouldnt have left out four of our key players for the trip agianst Slavia on wednesday we need to make sure that we should qualify to the last 16 by bringing our best player do we beat them 7-0 two weeks ago and what a result by the way Arsene i think should not take nothing for granted but i said this before and i say it again. In Arsene We Trust
Slavia's injury hit backline shouldn't be much of a problem but they are at home and play good football, if not for Almunia they may have got a goal themselves last time so we need to be careful. I expect Almunia to be a given another chance so that aside, I hope for:
