Gilberto- What a Ledge
Take note Jens, this is how you react to not being in the team:

I'd love to see him offered a new contract and he seems the type that would be happy to play on a year-by-year contract, he hasn't been in the team but his impact on our start to the season off the pitch cant be forgotten and this latest interview proves- Gilberto: True Gooner.

I think with the season just gone, its naive to think we wont struggle with injuries this season..We've already made a mistake letting our 4th centre back out on loan, and as a result we're covering defence with whatever midfielder can do the job..
Yesterday goes to show without a few key players we will struggle, and the balance of the side still isn't right so I think we need to think more about adding to the squad and keeping the current players there rather than shipping more out..
If we lost Jens and Gilbero I could see us really struggling for experience in the 2nd half of the season where we could be challenging for 4 trophies

I have to agree with Donaldo as much as i like Gilberto but i reckon there is tension between Wenger and Gilberto at this moment in time.Would love to see him stay but its off to Juve in the summer i think.donaldo wrote:Gilberto will not be an Arsenal player next season. We have Diarra who has really impressed in his apperances so far to take Gilberto"s place.

I do agree i think Gilberto deserves some loyalty from us but Wenger always seems to get out players at the right time so if Gilbertos time is up i dont see any way back.
I also think that a team needs a mixture of young and old and Gilberto would be a valuble asset to keep for the next couple of years on his day he is as good if not better than Flamini
