The first two Chelea attacks resulted in two goals.

Says it all, really. :(

I wish I could give my view on the game but I'm so pissed off right now that I'm not sure anything that I say would ever be wise. I've only got insults coming in my head right now.

At least I enjoy reading everyone posts. I feel less lonely....

We played nice pretty football but totally toothless in attack the stronger team won. Gutted at the moment.

What must Cesc think of it all? He worked his bollocks off today but we defended like a sunday league team......

Not surprised, expected it. Tbf i thought we played well up until we reached their box, toothless upfront. Too lightweight all over the field. Had a great time even though we lost, atmosphere was tremendous, fair play to everyone there. :barscarf: 8)

Clichy was shit again, ffs...where was our Clichy in 2007??

Almunia, of course, no need to mention, was shit shit shit...The second goal, he was so fear for Drogba's shot! Was he a goalie?!! Also, I couldn't understand that why he had no reaction at all for Drogba's free-kick. Did he think that if a ball curl over the wall, it's not his responsibility at all??!! FFS!!

more unadulterated shyte from Wenger:

On Chelsea's tackling...

"We were always in an attacking position and then you have to risk everything going forward and of course they are good on counter attacks. I believe that our spirit was great, our performance was great but in a big game like that when you are 2-0 down you demand too much."

On Arsenal's performance...

"I am completely happy with our performance and the spirit we have shown. For me, as much as we didn't turn up against Manchester United, today we had the expected performance. We were still a bit uncertain at the start of the game. When you went into it we were completely dominant. That's how I explain that we conceded the first corner."

On Chelsea's age compared to Arsenal's...

"They are more experienced They are 29, we are 23."

On the title race...

"I feel that we are not in the best position but we will not give up. We were a bit unfortunate as well in the same period to play Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool on the trot. If you lose one game if is very difficult with the psychological implications for the next game. I believe that is a little bit of a disadvantage."

ENOUGH IS A FUCKIN ENOUGH.

So despite the fact that we all have to play 38 games a season we as a club are at a disadvantage cos of the way the fixtures came out ?? :?
All this bleating about average age and physical tackling could all be stopped if whoever interviews him from sky points out that it is he (wenger) that put this lightweight and young team together with only 1 real experienced player(gallas) and history has shown that he is not a leader anyway
The man is becoming an embarrassment and is time for him to go

For a long time i've defended Wenger having thought he was being restrained by finances but now i'm starting to think he is actually mentally ill.

How can he feed us that stuff all week about teh United game and then go out with the same naive tactics? How can he throw away the cup yet again and not realise that doing so in 2007/8 had an adverse effect on our momentum? How can he point to stats and persist with a goalkeeper who is rated 19 out of 20th in the league, when Shay Given was available for £6m? How can he sell Flamini, Gilberto and Diarra and replace them with Song and think its enough? How can he lose Adebayor, RVP, Eduardo and Bendtner and think its ok to go into our biggest games of the season without a recognised striker?

The thing thats pissing me off the most is his total disrespect for the fans. We were here before him and he is insulting us by dismantling all that he did that was great and all that this club stood for and making it so easy for Cesc to find reasons to walk away.

Plenty of intricate passing yet again does nothing to address the basic weaknesses of this team. Since Sol left first time round we have been utterly inept at defending set plays - cue another series of comic strip, schoolboy errors for goal number 1.

Just like we made Ji-Sung Park look like Cruyff last weekend with a run from the halfway line without a single challenge made, we did the same with Lampard and Drogba for goal 2.

You have two choices Wenger:
1. Be a big man and at the end of this season come out publically and admit the failings of the past five years. We will all respect you more for it

2. Continue to prove Usmanov and Dein utterly correct by failing to invest and risk jeopardising the whole future of the club with a hostile takeover bid. Stubborness has never looked so stupid has it ?

Spot on, Wenger is basically taking the piss out of us, and has been for a couple of seasons, the semi final against the ****, the cup game at Man U to name but 2. I dont think hes mentally ill, I think hes too arrogant and up his own arse to admit to ever being wrong. Cesc will leave in the summer, and we cant blame him, it will all be down to Wenger, and even if got say 30 million for him Wenger wouldnt fucking spend it

In the words of the immortal Basil Fawlty...'what is the point, I mean what is the point.......' of having 600% possession when you don't create enough genuine goalscoring opportunities?
Wenger must think that we are all mugs. How can he stand up and say that we were the better team from the first minute until the last? What planet is he from? Having the ball and playing it sideways, or trying silly little flicks when you should be holding it up top AA, does not mean you are the better team. Today, yet again showed that we are fine when we're playing the Boltons, Wigans etc of this world but teams ilke Chelsea and ManU are too clever, too strong and too experienced.
I was so pissed off today, not with the team, because they play as they're taught, but again with Wenger. If we had had a proper striker up top who could hold the ball up we may have seen a different story.
Defensively, well I just believe that Wenger does nothing in training about defending because he simply believes that we will always score more than the other team.
Arsene, I am really really fucked off with your decision making in terms of how you've built the current squad. I know you need to protect your players but do you really believe we were the better team today? The beautiful game isn't enough for us. We do need success. You have money but don't spend it and then you wonder why we dare to criticise you.
A Carlton Cole type player as I've suggested before for example would have been ideal up top today. It would have released AA from the ridiculous position he's being asked to play in and would give us a genuine plan B when plan A through the eye of the needle is being stifled by top teams like today's opponents.
Seriously, seriously fucked off this evening. It's the hope that kills you. :(
