Before next season starts, would you think that it was time our great manager left?
imo we have been crying out for 3 expirienced quality players for the past 3 years and Arsene hasnt given us fans that..Even though it seems he has a minimum of £30million to spend.
I used to blame the board for NOT giving our manager any money, but now,i blame Arsene for being stubborn.
we will sign a goalkeeper, i'm quite sure of that. i'm not sure about the striker as arsène may trust in rvp's fitness for next season. i think we all agree that he has enough quality, but can he stay fit?
i want a new keeper. if you offered me the 30M, i'd sign a keeper and a defensive midfielder. if there's leftovers, a cover for centreback as well.
i know wenger will buy someone. he is stubborn, but there must be a fucking limit for that
I'm pretty condifent he'll sign a gk he was about to but suprise suprise he wa stoo late he has also indicated a strker was a priority but i dunno what happened with that i guess AW got lazy but he'll sign a forward in the summer i'm sure of it but we'll probably lose cesc and replace him with Denilson it's the usual cycle.

good idea, worked well doing that this season, but your right its the kind of thing AW will do!!
Wenger will 'buy' in the summer, 100% definite. BUT, it will be mediocre or unproven yet again.
He'll go for a keeper like Sorensen, an ok keeper, not great but better than we have. He will definitely sign Chamakh, he'll be free and that is Wenger all over, the chance to make some money.
He'll probably sign a defender of some sort, most likely young and French, unknown, for less than 6m and that will be it. He'll tell everyone we have another years experience and how important it is to keep everyone together.
Next season will be much the same with injury prone, lightweight, average players ensuring we finish 4th - 6th. We'll throw both domestic cups yet again and suffer lots of injuries........players like RVP, Walcott, Rosicky and Diaby out for long periods.
The future is not Wenger and this club will not progress with him in charge.
I'm not having a go at anyone on this forum as such but I cannot understand this "if wenger doesnt buy in the summer he must go" statement I mean how many transfer windows have we been saying that we need to buy and all of those windows turned up the same result....more sales than purchases. Why would anybody think that the next transfer window will be any different ? Or the window after that even ?
Wenger and the board will look at how we were out of the title race in november last season and will class this as a huge improvement but of course that analysis omits two key factors - (1) the standard this season throughout the league is pure muck (2) we had a real chance to win the fcuking league and failure to buy will have cost us. This 2nd factor is what wenger should be judged on but I have so so many reasons to be seriously fcuked off with the guy right now that I aint even going to go through them cos it will seriously depress me for the week
I expect Cesc to go in the summer. I don't think he can resist the lure of Barcelona for ever and, in fairness to him, why should he sacrifice his career for the sake of Wengers experiment? Ramsey will be his replacement with Wilshere stepping up into Ramseys role. I believe he will go for Chamakh based on his availability as a free agent and I expect he'll address the goalkeeping issue. Apart from that I cannot really see anyone coming in.
So those I think will go:-
Almunia
Fabregas
Eboue
Traore
Those that will come:-
Chamakh
An unknown goalie
Those stepping up:-
Ramsey
Wilshere
Gross operating profit in excess of £40m.
Hill Wood will light another big cigar and all will be well in the world.
Wenger's contract is up in the Summer of 2011 isn't it? IF he is allowed to complete the last year of his contract, I hope he does it in "blow out" style. Spend half the £200m you've saved the club and leave the next manager something to play with when he replaces you.
People talk about Wenger's legacy. He took over a team with Seaman, Adams, Winterburn, Dixon, Keown, Bould, Bergkamp, Wright, and left a first XI comprising of Almunia, Denilson, Bendtner. The stadium was paid for by us, not Wenger!
