Have any of you

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Twice got spoken to by the police (that I can remember!)

First at Villa Park - was in the corner quadrant seats, back row standing up. Steward warned me about standing (although I wasn't blocking anyone), then got police to come up - polieman said "I'll give you 3 to sit down" Rather than make a joke of this :!: I sat down. We equalised in injury time.

Second at Fratton Park - was sitting in the away end by the seperation with the home fans, so police and stewards nearby. Anyway, I called the ref a "F***ING C**T" within earshot of the policeman. He came past my mate and took me the aisle and asked me to look at the control tower where they took my picture (not my best side - and no make-up) and asked me my name. "Keane" "First name?" "Roy". Then I gave an address in London and he warned me about my future behaviour.

It worked, because I haven't used either word since :!: :)

Funny you should mention that villa game because after that game when i think andy linigan scored a header in about the six minute of injury time i was outside and obviously villa was abit upset, some twaty villa fan started mouthing off at a gooner with his two very young kids... it all kicked off and i ended up rite in the middle trying to seperate the two guys... pretty scary stuff... lucky the law didnt get involved else we would have all probly been arrested.

That's right RR, Linighan - think that there was a serious injury which caused so much injury time.

You're a lucky man as I find that the West Midlands Police have very little tolerance. Still, at least you tried to help and didn't get thumped. 8)

To be brutally honest, it was very difficult to Not get arrested for threatening behaviour if you travelled away a lot during the 70's! Especially in the west midlands! Have very bad memories of wolverhapton and Wednesfield police station in particular!!

i got arrested for singing fuck off city as a 13year old! I was pulled out by a coward of a policeman who hadn't the balls to arrest a man over 20, Then last season at the shithole carling cup I was warned about my swearing, I then shouted to Defoe to back up! only for OB to tell me of again. I asked him where i swore! then he moved

I'm shocked that i don't get pulled more often with the stewards cos i'm always swearing & i'm in row 1

stats, you need to brush up on your approach

Otherwise, the "easier" stewards are in club level. Apparently they can't do enough for you up there  8)

No offence Charlie, but I had my money on you, odds-on, that you would have had your collar felt, football-wise. Don't know why..... :D

None taken mate and it's quite a disappointment for me really that I've managed to avoid a tug for all these years    Maybe I should stop being so old and sensible and try much harder  Honestly tho, I've never been a "firm" member. Just a bit of a loud, noisy idiot and a "follower", never up there at the front type, in me tearaway younger years. Been involved in lots of pushing and shoving stuff when the likes of wham and the scum tried to take the NB back in the day with the odd blow and kick struck at the invaders but I'm a good boy at heart LOL.

when i was at a Malaga match it all kicked off after them game, i wasn't arrested but came head to head with them as there was fights breaking out everywhere.

It was one of my first matches and i asked a bloke about if there is trouble at matches out there because i had read about it and he said "no theres never any trouble with malaga supporters or rival fans" :?

I never did find out why it all broke out but it was a 3 way thing between malaga supporters, rival fans and police, it soon turn into all the fans against the police though because they was using hard and unappropriate methods.

Does anyone remember seeing Charlie George getting his collar felt up at WBA? He was supposed to have been with the reserves but he came to West Brom instead!
