I didn't see it but isn't that the quote regarding Ray Parlour at Anfield when he was told he wasn't on the bench and some one dropped out late after Ray and Andy Linighan had drank a few in the bar !

that was when footballers were real...cant stand most of the plastics these days. smudger was a much better player than anyone gave him credit for. 89 and 91 he really was the dogs bollox. we are crying out for someone like that now.strangely it was ian www that killed him in a way....wonder how many he would have scored if it had been kept the same.after all mr lineker just how many titles did u win then?
