Worst Arsenal game
Different to the lowest you've felt as an Arsenal fan but what is the worst game you have been to, in terms of it just being a complete non performance, non event and questioning to yourself why you bother.
Heres mine that I went to
Arsenal 0 Aston Villa 0-December, 1994
Literally the most boring game I have ever been to, on Boxing day, freezing cold and when I say nothing happened I mean literally nothing happened.
Arsenal 1 Wimbledon 3-December 1995
Bruce Rioch era....poured with hailstones throughout and a totally lacklustre uninspired performance led us being beaten by f**king Wimbledon at home
Arsenal 0 Wimbledon 1-April 1997
Wimbledon again...I just remember this game putting pay to any lingering hopes of the title that season, Vinny Jones scored for them and the decided to kick the shit out of us for the remainder of the game whilst barely getting a shot on goal...there is something also more depressing about losing on a Sunday.
Manchester City 3 Arsenal 0-November 2008
I think if I was to pick the single worst performance I have ever seen under Wenger this is it. Our away fans were singing We Love You Arsenal continuously for the final 15 minutes of the game but what was going on the pitch was a joke...I think every player who played that day put on their worst display in an Arsenal shirt, Gallas had been stripped of captaincy and there were 11 players out there who looked like they couldn't care less, I think that was the first time I questioned why I bother....we beat Chelsea the following week and that answered my question

I remember a terrible match against Sheffield Wednesday in 1994/95 when we beat them one-nil with an Ian Wright goal right at the end. It was a Sunday in about November or December time, it rained all the way through, Wednesday came for a point and did fuck all, we were shit and did fuck all and if I remember rightly, the North Bank was full of empty seats, the away section half-full and the sky dark all the way throughout. Sort of summed up the last days of GG, really.
Feb 2007. We'd beaten Bolton after extra time on a replay the Wednesday night (was valentines day, I cooked a meal that finished just as we kicked off, boy was I in the sh*t for that!) and this was scheduled for 12:30 on the Saturday. They weren't interested in attacking at all, we were crap, no atmosphere due to the early kickoff/crap opposition and they literally had about 11 supporters.digger wrote:Arsenal 0 - 0 Blackburn... FA Cup, 2007 (or was it 2008?). Anyway, shit game, Blackburn "parked the bus" seeing as they'd just been whalloped a few weeks before.
Seem to remember losing away at Bradford 2-1 in their final season in the Prem (forget the year), that was pretty dire. That and losing away to Coventry 1-0 with Nelson Vivas missing a penalty. You knew the moment he stepped up to take it we weren't getting anything that day.

THE worst performance by an Arsenal side I have ever seen. Not helped by the night before I saw 3 of our starting 11 that day in a club at 2 in the morning.
That was the day i started following arsenal
