Fabregas’ suspension planned in advance (13/11)

usual thread starter… Do you think Cesc’s booking was planned in advance? What about the Prem games in December. Can we possibly stay unbeaten through that lot?

great read and to the point,, my own feeling on the booking is that it was meant so to give him a nice break before decembers games ,, and they will be thick and fast thru out that month,, to stay unbeaten would be something but it will be so hard,,
if we come out still on top facing the new year then indeed 2008 could be a good year to be a gooner,,

lets hope

Fabregas suspension

You only has to look at his face to see that the yellow card was planned.

Can't say I blame him there. It's a very heavy schedule in December!

He wouldn't be the first player to do this and won't be the last.

AS I'VE SAID BEFORE, I'M NOT AN ADVOCATE OF CONSIPRACY THEORIES BUT IT WAS DEFINATELY PLANNED IN MY OPINION. JUST TAKE ANOTHER LOOK AT A REPLAY OF THE INCIDENT AND YOU'LL NOTICE THAT AFTER THE INITIAL TUG, CESC KEPT HOLD OF FAE'S SHIRT FOR A GOOD FEW SECONDS AFTER IN ORDER THAT THE REF DIDN'T MISS IT AND WAS LEFT WITH NO OPTION BUT TO BOOK HIM.

THE SECOND THAT IT HAPPENED I THOUGHT TO MYSELF 'THAT'S DELIBERATE'. I HAD BEEN WORRIED BEFOREHAND THAT CESC WAS ON 4 YELLOWS AND WOULD PROBABLY PICK UP A CARD BEFORE A VITAL MATCH. THEREFORE, AND GIVEN THE EASE WITH WHICH YOU CAN PICK UP A YELLOW FOR DOING ALMOST NOTHING, I WAS HAPPY TO SEE HIM DO WHAT HE DID, KNOWING THAT HE WOULD GET ANY SUSPENSION OVER AND DONE WITH AGAINST WIGAN AND BEFORE THE BIG GAMES. 8)

Yeah, it makes sense. As a midfielder, he was going to pick up that 5th yellow sooner or later. Better to get it out of the way against one of the "lesser" clubs...

Both me and a mate at work thought it was intentional. Much better to miss Wigan home than any away game or Chelski/Spuds. And if it was planned it was brilliantly executed, like everything else Fab does

It was brilliantly executed and absolutely hilarious!

Regarding the article, the writer suggests that if Liverpool continues their unbeaten run they'll surely be champions. They're still six points behind us and then will be nine points behind us after the Wigan game so they have a lot of catching up to do. If anything, we're in a better position to be champions given Benitez's rotation policy and the effect that has on the team.

6 players unavailable for the Wigan game.

That's what you get for trying to be too clever!

I think it's called Karma.

Maybe Karma but with Diarra, Gilberto and Denilson (Song  ) still there highlights a bit of strength in depth?

sme of our missing players will still b out after this game
maybe it was even more important cesc missed a home game rather than a tough away day
although wigan knocked us out the league cup at highbury
and where winning in both the last league game ever and thei first game at the grove
