well if they were watching tonight then they'll fancy their chances on Saturday. What should be a formality will be a test.

If the game goes like the one last season (dire 0-0) I think the natives will start to get restless.

Even the rosetinters must be getting sick of the same naive mistakes over and over and over again

Looking forward to this one. I must admit, I am expecting a heavy defeat as we have about 2 midfielders fit (Reid, Henderson, Cattermole, Malbranque, Meyler all out, leaving us with a not match fit richardson and lorik cana- we were short in midfield before injuries/ suspensions took their toll) and, well, because we have been utter shit ever since we played your lot at the SoL.

If Fabianski plays, however, you just never know, there could be a goal in there for us.

Just looking forward to the day out, and the all night drinking session tbh, the match will probably be an inconvenience more than anything

Edit: Zenden should be fit as well, but he's shit so i dont know if i should count him

shit as in i watched denilson tonight and thought "bloody hell, he's not that bad after all, he'd walk into our side" only to come on here and see people saying how dreadful he was! For us, that would be a pretty good performance, zenden is much worse

Listen I thought denilson was far from the worst player we had tonight and worked hard at closing down players which is more than diaby, nasri, bedtner and a few more did. The problem with denilson is that often the reason he appears to be working hard is cos he gives away possession too much and then has to work his nuts off trying to get it back

Sunderland have been very poor of late..think the last time I saw them play well was against us. I think despite a poor performance to Porto we should be alright with a few of the injured hopefuly returning

really can't wait for this

let the likes of Utd, Chelsea, Villa and even Tottenham waste their time and resources fighting it out for honours, we'll just concentrate on the proper business of securing 3rd spot and turning over a profit thank you very much

football, Arsenal style, 2010

 and whilst you're doing that, we'll continue to see just how many millions we can manage to spend whilst remaining absolutely shite. Its harder than it looks, but we have so far spent 80m in 3 seasons and are still utter shit and havent won a league game in about 3 or 4 months

Bruce, to paraphrase Wenger, doesn't tell the fans they're eating steak whilst actually serving up catfood tho

there is that i suppose- although having the manager admit that you are going to be force fed shit doesnt make it taste any nicer

actually, to be fair, im still very confident in our long term future, we havent had it this good for years- its just this game that i am very worried about

Doesn't this put it in any kind of context for any Arsenal fans. I'm as pissed off as the next person - however, it could be a hell of a lot worse. We've spent a hell of a lot less than £80m I'd wager. I'm not saying that we should settle for 3rd year after year, but equally we need to be grateful for what we do have, and be proud of our successes, whilst still aiming higher.
