Cesc is off this summer, he's had enough of OProject Wenger, that much is clear to see.

As for "who should replace irreplacable" question, my answer is simple: Felix Magath. Won Bundesliga with Wolfsburg last season (bought Dzeko for £3 million), on course to win Bundesliga this season with Shalke 04, both of those with no budget whatsoever. And most importantly, he treats players as cu*ts, not as some fuc*ing primadona prodigies...

And if that's not good enough for you (and I'm sure it's not  ) and if Mr Wenger is as irreplacable as some of you "hardcore gooners" are suggesting, may I ask what exactly is an exit strategy? Do we cease to exist as a club once Wenger retires/dies, or do we...what do we do? can't you see how dangereous this situation is? Is he grooming anyone to take over after him? What is Arsenal's long term planning? How long can they charge us for caviar and keep serving us sausages?

I'll agree that cesc is prob off in the summer, though he wouldn't be here if
arsene wasn't and he holds more respect for arsene than you obviously do. Felix is the answer cos he treats players like *word censored* and is doing well in the german football? Not enough for me and if bargain buys qualifies him further, I'd suggest
arsene's list is far fucking longer with far more impressive names.

Is there any appreciation for wenger at all or is it all doom
and gloom? He's the greatest modern manager we've had and deserves
better, even when times aren't as good as 2004. When he leaves he'll
leave us with a fantastic stadium, training centre and youth system
and we'll also be on a strong financial footing. In dreamland he may even have brought in and taught dennis all he knows before handing him the reigns.

Reading your previous witless puffings I notice you work in the delivery office in Highbury . You seem to imply that you read peoples mail or are u a handwriting expert ? Hardly surprising my mail gets lost frequently.
What is going on round there in Hamilton Park.

PS did you know mr Wenger was responsible for the Gulf War,Global Warming, and the whole sub prime fiasco in the USA as well as Aids, swine flu and X factor ?

What? I thought you'll be at Grove this saturday, singing your heart out for Wenger and the boys :?: ah, now I get it, seems to me you're a shareholder...that explains a lot... :barscarf:

@jmardon

Well as far as I know, German league is better than both French and japanese, and that's where Wenger coached before coming over here...but I knew it won't be good enough for you...

Anyway, what is undeniable is that AFC has been going downhill ever since David Dein left the club. Now that's a food for a thought.

Post by Herd »

The german geezer is a genius but doesnt speak much English but thanks for at least writing something I can view as positive.

As for bieng a shareholder I bought 4 of them in the early 80's I think @ the wopping price of 250 quid each.
And this means what skipper jealous are we ? I havent got a silver spoon in my gob and went to a school known only for supplying the kids for Another Brick in the wall.

Life could be so much worse Skip,I could have been a postman eh ?

skipper, not a bad point about the german league being better than the Japanese and Ill probably agree it might be better than the french. Im just not convinced that anybody couldve tranformed the club in the way Arsene has or provided all that he has. Admittedly at the moment its not all rosey but F**k me its not all that gloomy either. Yes we need trophies, and yes Arsene needs to address certain issues, especially the shambolic keeper situation. I just feel that Arsene has earned the right and the trust to look at where it's gone wrong at times and correct it. He'll be more pissed off about the lack of trophies than you are and the desire will be there to fix things.

David Dein undoubedly done great things whilst at the club. Arsene being the greatest of all of course...! And there is a definite downward trend since he left, but that also more or less coincides with the new stadium no? Im also not all that comfortable about the way he jumped into bed with the russian.

Not many were comfoprtable when he jumped into a bed with certain dodgy American (and it costed him his place at Arsenal Board). How ironic that Stan Kroenke is seen as good guy couple of years later...

I am all for Arsene Wenger correcting oh so obvious shortcomings within this team, but there is one little problem there, that supporters like you or Herd don't want to acknowledge:
Arsene Wenger will do nothing to correct these shortcomings, because in his head it's all rosey...iall this apparent lack of success is just a mixture of inexpirience, bad luck, injuries, dodgy refereeing decisions and so on...

And I know he's got credit for previous success and all that, but for how long can we call ourselves a big club??? What oiher big club in the world has gone 5 seasons without winning a trophy???

I always mention Barcelona and Frank Rijkaard situatuion, he has won everything with that club, yet after two trophyless seasons, Barca showed him the door...and I'm sure there were Barca supporters saying it's madness to get rid of him and bring unproven manager (one Pepe Guardiola)...now, after Barca won unbelivable treble in Guardiola's first season as a manager, I ask you again:

Do you really think there are irreplacable managers?

the american sits more comfortably with me than the russian does, far more. are you not seeing the obvious gap in trophy years is a direct parralell with the stadium? not saying its the only reason, but its a factor. I dont believe Arsene thinks everything is fine. lack of trophies prove otherwise and despite what he says publically, i think (and hope) that privately he knows which issues need fixing.

we arent as big as barcelona and we never will be.we arent run like they are. we cant spend what they just have on ibrahimovic. im not saying any manager is irreplaceable but more that arsene deserves the chance to turn things round again.

My point is; both Kroenke and Usmanovs got on board thanks to David Dean. Now, if he's been proven correct regarding Kroenke (despite mr Hillwood publicaly stating: WE don't want his sort around here!), who's to say our fears regarding Usmanovs are not equally misplaced?

I agree with giving Arsene a chance to turn things around, but why does he so stubbornely refuses to do so?

We could have had this disscussion two years ago, I guess its shows that nothing changes at AFC these days, unfortunatelly...

David Dein

Post by Herd »

David Dein is a two Bob shyster who mugged the Buffoon Hillwood into selling his birthright for a pittance.

His only master stroke was to bring in Wenger, unless you count lining his pockets with the kickbacks from overpaying the fee on each transfer ,pre and post Graham. (You dont think rioch signed Berkamp do you ?)

Since then his former mate the other shyster Fizeman has been trying to sell his shares at the best price to whoever,he wants out..........but thats not the issue here,we have digressed.
In summary
Yes Wenger has made mistakes, but I still think hes doing well bacause4 No I beleive he hasnt had the money to spend.
No I dont beleive anyone can do better given the circumstances I beleive we are in.

Skipper it simply isnt worth talking to you on here but I now know who you are so il have a chat another time.

Laters ive had enough of this subject........oh by the way anyone looked at the tabler this am !

I find this criticism of Arsene Wenger absolutely extraordinary.
I can't imagine anyone who followed Arsenal before the premier league believing he hasn't done an incredible job.
Crikey, what other manager in the world could have predicted an Invincible season and then (while everyone was still laughing) actually achieve it?
The man is an Arsenal legend.
He'll go when he goes.
And I, for one, will always be grateful to him.
