the wonder of you??? RUBBISH

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Here's an idea - how about no fucking song at all. Who really cares anyway ?

The Wonder of You - nothing to do with Arsenal
Good old Arsenal - about as current as Everton playing that shite "it's a grand old team to play for....."
The A Team theme tune - used to get played in the 80s cringeworthy

I don't understand why we need one at all really. And as for the screaming out of the players surnames :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: FFS this is not the Bundesliga

I quite like it, go west would be better and more traditional though.

I went to Cambridge United v AFC Wimbledon last Saturday, and Cambridge came out to "The Wonder of You" ; it seems someone is copying the style !

I like OBG's suggestion of the Impossible Dream.

I sing along to it. But it jut doesn't have any passion behind it.

I always thought Bridge Over Troubled Water would be a fantastic song,

But really, it should be something about ARSENAL. I'ld love a huge rendition of B'jesus Said Paddy before every game

Have suggested the song "A Goal" for some time now - it is a song about Arsenal and was on one of our cup final cd's a few years ago

I don't see what the big deal is, I love 'The Wonder Of You'. I find it accurately sums up our support. A septic singing a song about how much we love our Arsenal. I am on a mission to see if we can have more of the same type of suitable songs during half time and after the match has finished. I think it would be great to have it piped out in the concourse for about an hour after the game.
