Football clubs in NZ were filled with Brit ex-pats in 60s and 70s.
Every club had its share of Liverpool, Man u, Celtic and Rangers fans and every training session you'd hear different accents from John O'Groats to Land's End.
I imagine it was the same in Australia, etc.
A school mate of mine up the road tried to get me into Liverpool about 1972.
Fortunately, even at 8, I wasn't that stupid...
