Cork City FC, RIP

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Cork City FC, RIP

Post by corkbarry »

CCFC were wound up today in Court, no money to pay the Bills. The players have not been paid for 4 months due to fact that the Revenue took every last euro the club had. The two Best supported Clubs in the league of ireland,Cork City and Derry City have had Financial problems this season and as a result Derry have been punished by being relegated and Cork City were expelled.

The new season starts in two weeks, hopefull the signs are that a new Cork club will be formed and will play in the lower league.

There are ten teams in our Premier league, now eight of them are based either in Dublin or within 25 miles. It will now be known as the League of Dublin.

On a minor scale this is similar to Manure and L,pool but no one in the FAI gives a F**K /

All the players are scattered far and wide, 1 gone to Burnley,2 to Hartepool and the rest have been signed by various irish clubs.
In fact we will be the Irish Arsenal. The average age of the new team will be 19
