Anyone ever get tickets from TrustedTickets.com?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Anyone ever get tickets from TrustedTickets.com?

Post by The Caped Crusader »

Mrs Caped Crusader, bless her, has decided to treat me to a day out at the Emirates as a surprise. Not being a card carrying Gooner herself she didn't go thru club channels and bought tickets off the internet from Trustedtickets.com

Needles to say they haven't arrived, and I'm getting a bit nervous in case it's all a con, given that I was under the impression tickets were something of a thing of the past at the Emirates.

Can anybody tell me if this site is legit? or should I start making other plans for that weekend?

You sure? Seatwave.com is a Ticketmaster operated "tout" site (trusted) and Craigslist.org is where perverts look for online hookups....

AFAIK, touts at Arsenal meet you, escort you to the turnstyle, then take the card off you as soon as you're inside.

Thanks for the advice, but I have a bad feeling about this one. I've emailed the club to see if they can shed any light on this outfit, but I have visions of myself and a tearful Mrs Caped Crusader sitting in the famous cock silently watching the game on the telly. Still if anyone can shed any more light on the legitimacy of this outfit or otherwise I'd appreciate it.

They'll only tell you to BUY a red membership where you can access 30,000 tickets a season (or whatever).

It sucks mate, but I bet what you paid through a tout was more than the cost of a few memberships :( As a general rule of thumb, anything which has "trusted" in its name is not to be trusted!!

Worst thing is I am a red member, have been for years and could have easily got them myself. Unfortunately my better half isn't, and thought it would be a nice surprise. Which indeed it will be, if the tickets are real it certainly will be a surprise to me.

Have to admit my blood did run a bit cold when she told me where she booked them. But time will tell.

I feel your pain there.... first time my Mrs bought me tickets, she asked me a few days later how much they normally cost... I said about £20.... she paid £120 each  She was pretty pissed off when they came through with a face value of £22.50 printed on them. And we got knocked out of the CL :(

This site is a scam, weeks of phone calls and being given the run around, finally gave up. Then the day before the game Mrs CC gets a call from some bloke (a tout) who wont give his name saying if she meets him in a pub car park he'll loan her a card, and not to talk to anyone in the ground or say where she got it from, you can draw your own conclusions from customer service like that.

Turns out this is an online version of the scam that was reported in the Standard ages ago

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/ ... -ticket.do

While unlikely to catch out any regulars you might want to warn your loved ones not to fall into the same trap if they think they're doing you a good turn.
