I agree totally with you that the prevailant culture has led to us getting kicked more than most. But on this occasion it's just bad luck I think. Eddie was "done". I've seen a good few "*word censored*'s challenges" over the years. Got my ankle broken in two places by one back in 06 but Shawcross didn't go in to do Ramsey. Just my view on it.
I'm as gutted as anyone for Rambo.

I agree re too many teams get away with hatchet jobs v us but having rewound and watched it again I didn't feel it was that nasty a tackle!!
That said guaranteed there will be no backlash against stoke "a good honest english club, with a good honest manager" bullshit
Imagine that was rooney or lampard that got that?? Would NEVER hear the end of it

Right, I've calmed down. Had to go and wash my face, have a drink of water and a quick lie down in a darkened room.
That was a massive three points. If we do win the league, this is the day that did it. If we don't, at least we can look at our boys with pride and respect. We came back from a goal down against a team that has a strong home record and where we have never won but we showed that bit of steel that we have occasionally lacked recently. Regardless of Aaron's injury, we got the win and can build.
As for AR, I don't really care whether the thug meant it or not. The fact is that a player has a broken leg and the *word censored* that did it will miss just three games and then come back to play football. Sometimes in life accidents happen through negligence and people have to live with what they have done. Whether it is intentional, players need to be properly punished. Shawcross was not quick enough, not good enough and went in too hard. He had no control, he lacked the professional thought and rational thinking that would have stopped him from injuring another player. If you make a mistake that injures somebody when driving a car, bus, a train, walking down the road or whatever, the law holds you responsible and you are severly punished. In English football, the media debate whether you meant it, your manager says how nice you are and thinks that becase you went home to your mum, everything is ok.
The BBC, Sky and daily newspapers are responsible for this. They perpertrate the myth that Arsenal are soft, can't take the rough stuff and that it's all a good laugh to get stuck in. The officials have been influenced by this filth and allow opposition players to get away with late, dangerous tackles.
Enough is enough. I will not be shocked if Wenger walks at the end of the season. Trophy or not, I think he has had enough of the sick culture that surrounds English top-flight football. The culture that values physicality and brute force over talent and intellect.
This is going to be a run-in that I am looking forward to. Bring it on and let's go Arsenal. Ramsey is out, we are not. We are The Arsenal and we are one scary team when we get going.
