As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
The question is "How would you react after seeing yet another possibly carrer ending injury happen in front of your eyes for the 3rd time in 5 years?"
IMO it's understandable that some of the players reacted with anger and disgust.
I hope that Aaron recovers fully to realise the potential that I think a majority of Gooners believe that he is capable of.
God bless you Aaron.
Bendtner too deserves credit for staying with him and talking to him. But you can't slate anyone else's reaction and no one was calling for a red card - just angry to see that happen yet again.
I've just sent an e-mail to Stoke's official club website asking them to thank Whelan on behalf of us gooners.
Tempted as I was to go into one about the thuggish behaviour and attitude of some of their players and staff, I thought I'd leave it as a simple message of thanks to the individual concerned for his good deeds. Perhaps others might like to do the same.

Well done IHH - it was merited and an unusual stand out act of good grace from an employee of a club with no class or decency. Shame the 20,000+ cavemen who support his club couldn't demonstrate the same level of decency in their post match appraisal (as posted on other threads on here).
Glenn Whelan deserves great credit for acting how he did after a truly shocking incident. I felt sick, and emotional watching it back so for him to react the way he did was superb.
He is at Ashburton Grove on Tuesday with Ireland, as I will be, maybe an opportunity to thank the guy.

Great idea. I won't be there but any gooners going to the International match on Tuesday might want to give the guy a round of applause.
