Everton away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I KNOW IT USED TO BE ROUGH IN THE 'OLD DAYS' AND I SUSPECT IT IS SIMILAR NOW. REMEMBER, THEY ARE ALL SCOUSERS SO IN ESSENCE STILL LIVING IN A PLACE TIME FORGOT.

GIVEN THE JOURNEY, HOSTILE FANS AND EVEN MORE HOSTILE PLAYERS, IT'S NOT AMONGST MY TOP TEN FAVOURITE PLACES TO VISIT!!

Its fine now - just dont advertise you are an Arsenal fan on your way there. The away pub is the same one used for Liverpool (The Arkyles) and is only a walk across stanley park to Goodison.

My advice. Dont for f*£K's sake walk through stanley knife park. Walk around it. After the game it's OK (safety in numbers) but not B4 the game. Last time I drove up I parked in an Anfield car park and walked AROUND stanley park to Everton.

I once went to Goodison and sat in the home fans section and cheered when Stefan Schwarz scored. Didn't have any problems.

Everton fans are just like Tottenham fans but with Scouse accents, I drink in the Clarence myself before the game.

Haven't been for a few years but have been to Goodison several times and never had any problems there. In the age of Ashburton, new Wembley etc, the ground is now a bit of a throw-back, but I like it. And Liverpool's a great place to go out on a Saturday night.

I went up there for the 4-1 win a few years back and got no trouble what so ever. In fact, the Everton fans were a good laugh (anyone else witness, "we've only come to see the granddad"?!) and I'd definitely recommended it is a decent away venue. Still, definitely avoid Stanley Park and watch out for obstructed views at the game!

Have a good one, mate.

Been there a few times in the past and it's like anywhere I guess, just be sensible and you should avoid trouble. Only ever been by train so always been with numbers and funnily enough, never had a beer up there so know nothing about the pubs. Have a good trip mate.

I walked in & out of Goodison Park last season being very cold & wet without a jacket or jumper   plus i heard it's pretty rough up there so i didn't look around the stadium like i do for other grounds & a 15 uear old (at the time) walking round on his own is not nice, great sitting right next to the away fans though, shame about the result
I wanted to go this year but it's during chritstmas so i'll skip away games for now
I got a good seat with the singers & even sat next to COME ON YOU GUNNERS which i wasn't pleased about at first but there was some funny guys behind me & i did get a platic seat :P
I can't say much about the drink spots as the supporters club just parked next to the park & i walked off but i never knew that it was a knifey park there so i'm glad i didn't go through it then
