As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
fletcher would be far less effective @the emirates
cos when arsenal players scythe down the opposition refs seem to notice a hell of a lot more
song just got a 2match ban for the dozen times he's had a niggle this season
fletch would basically never play for us - perma suspension
it's the jamie carragher syndrome
I'm fat and unfit, and my @footballing peak I wasn't even all that
but if I could step out knowing, as carragher undoubtably knows, that basically no matter how much I pulled, grabbed, grappled and fouled the opposition 99% of the time the ref will turn a blind eye
then I too could be a top class prem defender

When Adebayor was not even on the pitch. And put him out of business for three weeks. He is a dirty player, the likes I have not seen since Leeds of the late 60's and earl 70's. He is 22 years old. He has already fucked up the careers of two fellow professionals.
He is scum. And no amount of crybaby tears will wash that away.
Not to defend Shawcross in any way shape or form but has anyone actually seen the tackle on Jeffers that broke his ankle? I only ask cos I know I’d never even heard about it until the other day, never mind seen it & seeing as it was when they were in the Championship I’d guess the same would go for a lot of people. Yet we’re all using it as part of the evidence against him. Diaby broke Nasri’s leg in pre-season, doubt the clumsy fucker meant to though.
Shawcross could be the dirtiest bastard in history but making it all about him as an individual is missing the bigger point, which is that entire teams are sent out to make over the top challenges against us, get away with it, then get lauded for it and come back again the next time with the parameters of what they can get away with against us pushed back that little bit further. If Shawcross really “isn’t that sort of ladâ€

Add both Fletcher and Shawcross to the Arsenal squad and I believe we'd have a much stronger case for winning the league - agree or disagree?
You're having a laugh mate, unless you want us to revert back to the eighties.Fletcher only gets into the scotland national team coz he plays for manure and the last good player for scotland was in the 1990's.Ferguscum only plays him because he can't afford to buy better or produce better.
Shawcross is best championship quality and equivalent of Jeff Blockley. He's got the talent of a decomposing dead rat and it's beggars belief how he gets called up for the national side, scrapping the barrel.
