As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Hmm..... had a few winners lately, but they've been really off the cuff.
Did a yankee yesterday, and had 3 winners out of the 4 and won 260, also had 20 on two of the winners, did a correct score on the Brazil, Ireland which I went to and it came in. (So i ended drawing around 600)
I've been following a horse called Franco is my name (which has now won 4 on the bounce and won on it the last 3 times, missed the first time) but the first time it won, several horses which followed it home have won. Namely Formidiable Guest, Kames Park and one other which I can't remember. So I've followed these and won also, although Kames Park got stuffed the other day, so that little run is probably over, but Franco is my name, could, come in again I reckon.
Bit of a long shot but could provide e/w value or place only. To be fair it sounds like a right nag.
But if like me and Frank above you place bets on names and omens, the name of the horse is appealing along with the fact today’s jockey silks are red shirt with white sleeves.
Not done a bet since putting £400 on Arsenal (half and full) at 11/4 against the pool at highbury a few seasons ago. The game where Gerrard gave the suicidal backpass for TH14 to score.
I was pissed when I put the bet on, and regretted it the following morning on the day of the game. I realised then that myself and gambling would have to go our separate ways. And I haven’t had a bet since. The only time I am tempted is when I travel over for a game.

Slippery slope boys this but good fun if you are on top of it. Maybe sounding like a killjoy here ( Sorry) but if you can take it or leave it then happy days. I like a punt myself but i feel that i have a bit of an addictive personality. Bet when i fancy it or walk away. Keeps me sane anyway.

I agree.... Have you ever wondered why you never see a poor bookie?

Good call - 3rd @ 25/1.
Anyone get on it?
I only bet win only.
Had a massive £1 each way, still - a win is a win! Cheers no.5
