thank you israel 2-1 winners

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

England's Euro 2008 fate is back in their own hands after Israel claimed a shock 2-1 win over Russia.

Just a point needed on wednesday now. :D

I wasn't excited for years by my national team like i was today.
They made me proud, because they didn't had anything to play for beside the respect they get. It would have been a very sad euro if England didn't play in it. C'mon the boys in white and blue!

Footy's a funny game. If Eng qualify now everthing will be Lovely jubbly again...only because Israel beat Russia!

Still. I'm just happy all the Manure & Cska players won't get an adavantage by having a rest next summer :)

DON'T KNOW WHETHER IT INDICATES HOW SAD I AM BUT FROM THE SECOND THE PLAYER GOLAN CAME ON THE PITCH I WAS THINKING UP HEADLINES BASED ON THE GOLAN HEIGHTS, LIKE THAT BY GALASSO.

GIVEN THE NAME AND ALL THE VARIOUS PUNS ON IT, I'M SURE IT WAS ONE OF THE EASIER NIGHTS OF WORK FOR THE SPORTS HEADLINE WRITERS. NEVERTHELESS, IT WAS GOOD WORK BY GALASSO. 8)
