Get in early v Porto (REDaction)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Get in early v Porto (REDaction)

Post by gooner.ed »

the guys at redaction have asked me to post this...

Porto - An early Kick off for all Gooners.

Results have gone our way recently, and the feelgood factor is back.

Arsenal fans everywhere should be confident of overturning the first leg deficit against Porto on Tuesday night, but it won’t be easy and we have to play our part.
Maybe the prospect of the Champions League Quarter Finals will shake up the sleeping masses at our home games, and get the blood pumping through their veins ; This is no time for Arsenal apathy ; your club needs you.. Let’s sing and shout for the cannon on our chests and in our hearts

Get into the ground early on Tuesday night, get into your seat, and get the Grove rocking pre kick off ; We need to be the twelfth man, to help inspire the team. If you need to make a sacrifice of one less drink in the pub, or leave the office 30 minutes earlier than usual, then do it in the name of The Arsenal.

To Madrid, to Madrid
We are going,
To Madrid, we will go to play,
To Madrid, to Madrid,
We are going,
WE ARE GOING AT THE END OF MAY

Come on you Reds

Please email [email protected] if you are in the lower tier of the North End for the Porto match and are able to help out with a flag display pre kick off

maybe extending upon our home game songlist is a good idea.

we're on our way we're on our way
we're going to madrid
we're on our way
how we get there we don't know
how we get there we don't care
but all we know is we our on our way

Amazingly didnt hear "stand up if you hate t*******m" only for the Arsenal. Change is in the air i can feel it!!
Mind you still every other song sprinted through at 100mph so the songbook was on lap 2, 4 minutes into the game!!!!
Slow down people please......

Stand up if you hate tottscum is not sung that often at all in the REDsection.

It is sung more often by the 2 blocks either side of us when the stewards tell them to sit down.

The bigger problem is the speed of songs in the REDsection, recently even the "Red Army" has descended into one big mess.
We are bringing the drum back tomorrow night, this will hoipefully help fix this song - and slow it down, and if it works, we can try that for a few others as well.

With the usual lack of alcohol in the stadium I will be getting there a maximum of 15 mins pre kick off!!!!

If they could sort this ridiculous anomoly against British clubs out I'm sure a few more of us would make the effort to get in early!!

Is it only us that have the drink ban? Watched Barca v Leverkusen a while back and they were only serving alcohol free beer in the Nou Camp. Either that or it was just to me!

I thought it was the same all over Europe? Haven't they completely abolished alcohol in some countries (even for domestic games)

In Spain I think there is a ban within 2 miles of the stadium of alcohol. Not sure exactly how they police it - hence the alcohol free beer.

I think Scotland has no alcohol at games either.

It always strikes me as odd that the CL is sponsored by Heineken but you can't get a pint of the stuff in the grounds.......

Cant they try "stand up if you hate stewards" or something then? Really, I laugh whenever I see a s***s game on the telly and all I can hear is "stand up if you hate arsenal" yet there are a few proper bellends that make us look just as stupid
