SamiS,
Right, here goes,
You apply in the ballot, You need to supply passport details and personal details as all successful applicants are checked on police records for previous of Football violence and previous touting offences, nothing more.
If you do get some tickets, (remember that about half a million people will apply so your chances are pretty slim, but if you don't buy a ticket you don't win the raffle etc). then they will both have your name on. If we get there and you go then no problem.
If you are successful and we don't make it then you have a few options, returning them is not an options as once they are issued that is it. You can pass then to a known friend who wants to go for face value.
You can tout them around on the net to other forums anf ticket selling sites and try and make some money if you wish. Or pass then to an agency.
Whoever does take your tickets will have NO problem at all getting into the stadium, all this checking lark is a joke and scaremongering.
The only problem that may arise is if the person who buys them then uses them and decides to send them to UEFA and report that they have bought them for over inflated prices, you will then get a letter and a ban from further UEFA ballots etc.
Here are a couple of things I have heard but they may or may not be true -
Only make 1 application from a single address, UEFA go through all applications and remove all that have any duplicate addresses.
IF you have family abroad (maybe good for you with Israeli connections) get these people to apply too. I hear UEFA like to spread the tickets across the world, the global game and all that, So as you can understand there are a lot more applications from the UK than from anywhere else so if you have friends in somewhere like Tibet then they have a much better chance. I don't know how true this is.
What did I do with mine? I got a pair for the Lpool gave Vs AC in Istanbul (yes the one they came from 3 down) I shifted them to a friend who runs a well know sports travel company from London. He must have shifted them easy. I had no comebacks. the other one was Rangers/Zenit UEFA Cup final in Manchester so I went.
Remember that it is not all rosy, if the final is, for example, Panathinaikos Vs Fiorentina then the demand goes right down, you may get stuck with them and they are not cheap. Also the Manu/Chel final were selling for face value, this is because travel to Moscow was very expensive and hassle with Visa's etc. but there should be no problem with Madrid.
If any English club get there then you are laughing.
So, in closing, Just put yourself in the ballot and worry about all this if you get the acceptance email.

Samis, the passport number is supposed to scrae you not into selling your ticket onwards, just in case they check the number on the ticket against that in your passport prior to entering the stadium. In realty this takes too much manpower and therefore is seldom implemented. You can sell football tickets on ebay but not if you have a UK registered ebay account as it is illiegal to do so in this country. Ebay will remove tickets listed on there site, however there are ways round this, use your imagination and I am sure you will figure it out. I wouldn't get too worried, the chances of you getting a ticket are very slim.
