My biggest concern in the game tonight will be hoping we don't pick up any injuries, with Song suspended for Saturday and Cesc unlikely to return, we are a knock or 2 away from being stretched to the absolute limit.
All this talk of winning the title will count for fuck all if we slip up in any of our next 4 games, and in order not to do that we need as many players available as possible.
If we get through tonight, wenger will have to gamble and rest players between clge and prem games. And when wenger gambles he invariably loses, and as in the recent past we end up with fuck all.
So once again I will say what is considered treason by many on this forum, "defeat tonight may bring glory elsewhere, where as victory will most likely yield nowt"

Ive been doing a lot of thinking about tonights line up? what do we think?

I think he will play Sagna, not sure if it will be Walcott, Nasri, Rosicky or Eboue down the right? I would think it will be Bendtner and Arshavin the other two? with Song, Diaby and either Nasri or Denilson through the middle?

I'm loving Tinkerbell at the moment but think he will go with Sagna tonight, to make sure the defense is as watertight as possible :coffeespit:

Really hope it's Nasri in the middle with Diaby and Song.

Up front I don't know but reckon it will be Theo, B52 + Arshavin.

Couldn't agree more. Our best chance this season is in the league, no doubt in the world about that. First Cesc, now Willy G, this is getting ridiculous. It pains me to say this BUT....there’s not a hope in hell we can win the Champions League with the current squad plus the fact we’re picking up an injury a game right now. Let’s face it we’d be caned by the mancs, chavs, barca or madrid.

However ALL the fixtures below are winnable and if we do we’re champions it’s as simple as that. If we get knocked out tonight it means we'll have a week between all these games and we can treat every one as a cup final. If we’ve a foot in both competitions we’ll fuck up both I just know it, and I can't take any more heartache :(

A Hull City

H West Ham United

A Birmingham

H Wolverhampton

A Tottenham Hotspur

A Wigan Athletic

H Manchester City

A Blackburn Rovers

H Fulham

I have to agree as well, out of CL and the Prem is winnable. In the CL we WILL get put out by Utd or Chavs.

We WILL, if we face them. There's every possibility that Inter will knock Chelsea out... what happens if United draw Barcelona in the next round? :barscarf:

I'd personally go for

-----Average Al------

Sagna----Sol----TV----Clichy

----Nasri---Song---Diaby-----

Theo----Nic B---------TR7

Bench: AA23, Eboue, Eduardo, Tweety, Denilson, Mannone

Think however we'll see:

-----Average Al------

Sagna----Sol----TV----Clichy

----Denilson---Song---Diaby-----

Theo----Nic B---------Nasri

Bench: AA23, Eboue, Eduardo, Tweety, TR7, Mannone

I think AA23 will def be on the bench as an impact player as he doesn't have 90 mins in him and doesn't track back very well so won;t give us that defensive balance at the start.

I think Eboue actually works well as an impact player because he is so direct and so I'd like to see him on the bench as opposed to starting

Nasri and Theo I think have to start purely on form

As for Nasri as part of a centre 3, I think it is a risk worth taking because he has a degree of creativity which we will need. Wenger might start with TR7 for a bit more experience there though.

Either way I think we'll have enough at home if we take our chances!

If this team does the business tonight then with Cesc, RvP and Billy G all back hopefully for the Semi then we could do this :barscarf: :barscarf:

NB52 will bounce back from the burnley game to net a double as arsenal cruise to a 2-0 win :barscarf:
