As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Manchester City-If they qualify they will be able to attract better players and will continue spending money therefore eventually breaking into the group of title contenders and no longer trying to break the top 4. The longer they stay out the top 4 the better.
Aston Villa-Second to Spurs to have the most dislikeable inbred fans in the Premiership. Singing songs about Eduardo. The reason I dont want them in the top 4 is their fans alone
Spurs-This really doesn't need an explanation why this team should not get Champions League Football under any circumstances. Imagine the gushing over Harry Redknapp...they only had two points when he took over dont you know.
So despite Gerrards diving, Mickey Mouse Owen stealing the FA Cup from us, Babels tumble and cheeky loveable Scousers they are by far the more desirable team to qualify over the others. If you look on their boards and talk to their fans as well they do have a respect for us, even if they still havent forgiven us for 1989.
Essentially, that's the point I was trying to make. And also, if Liverpool finish 4th, it means Rafa won't be sacked
I have to say that of the 4 teams challenging for that final clge spot, the pool are the team I would least like to see get it.
Simply because they are so fucking jammy they always have a chance of winning the thing, and I can never relax until they are knocked out of it.
The other 3 would all struggle to get past the qualifier for the group stages, and certainly would never be capable of winning it.
I agree with Goonersid bit for a different reason.
It's mainly because of the media loving the scousers, the likes of Alan Hansen, Mark Lawrenson, Phil Thompson etc always taking digs at the Arsenal and generally talking crap, the complete shite that has been their football this year (all the worse games of the year candidates will have them in their somewhere), and generally most of the fans of the scousers I know are twats and know nothing about football.
For all the reasons above I would love it if Liverpool didn't get 4th spot and to be honest they may not even get into Europe the way it is going, just to see all their reactions.
And off the back of this seeing what happens to this club as it has been so poorly managed - will the banks be a knocking, will Torres and Stevie Me stay, if the banks come a knocking will they go into administration or will there be a white knight?
I think my summer would be very enjoyable if they didn't get Champions League!

By the way, is it just me or is Torres incredibly over-rated? Sure, he can score, but he's absolutely useless outside the box, and I mean absolutely useless.
You are truly deluded my friend.
A big fat NO - I hate Liverpool with all my heart but Torres is one of the best, if not THE best strikers in the world right now. I'd give my left bollock to have him playing for my club.

i think like a few others that i'd like the pool to qualify for champs lge/ main reason is that rafa would still be there and i could not even stand to think if the spuds made it there.
i'd rather have villa in there as they would probably get knocked out in the opening round.
cieh hmmm not so sure about them as they could be the dark horses - they still have 2 or 3 games in hand so i think they are the most likely candidate.

Liverpool have some quality players in their squad (I reckon Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano and Reina would get into almost any other team in the world), but they rely too much on some seriously average players (Kuyt, Insua....)
Out of the five teams, Id most like to see Pool get 4th, part of my family supports them, plus the fact that if spurs finish fourth, youll never hear the end of it, even though theyll be knocked out by some mediocre Croatian side in the qualifiers.
Villa, i hated them last season purely because of their arrogance, but my hatred for them has cooled for the moment.
Shitty, fuck them, their fans have been getting extremely cocky too, itd be good to see Greedy having Europa/No european football (if he stays).
Everton? Decent team, like their fans, would rather them be thrown in the mix than spurs or city.

There are quite a few strikers in world football I'd happily take over him - Drogba, Rooney, Villa, Eto'o, Tevez, Ibrahimovic, even our own van Persie. Not belittling him as a player, but let's just he's not my cup of tea.

You would rather have ibrahimovic over torres ? Tbh I would rather have bedtner in my team and coming on the back of the 'mare he had last saturday gives you a fair idea how "highly" I rate that lazy swedish *word censored*
I don't get this liverpoo hating us because of 89 rubbish . what have we done wrong ? It was their fault they fucked it up. Afterall, we were the best team that year, beating them @ anfield , beating united at highbury and doing the double over the ****
