PORTO CL THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We had Martin Keown here. He was a bit negative about Sol, said he was nervous in the first half but back to his best in the second.
Himself and Cascarino think that we will be found out by the bigger teams in theCL but that we have a good chance for the league.
We also had that idiot Trever Welsh (or whatever you call him) who twice called Arshavin Clichy, called Diaby Song and when the camera cut to show a shot of Denilson taking his tracksuit off he called him Eduardo :banghead: :banghead: IDIOT
Isnt he also the fat bloke who does the sports news and the sports round up show? Anyway he is a twat clearly knows fuck all about Arsenal and at one point him or Lawrenson called their No.3 No.3, surely they are paid to know his name or at least have them down on a piece of paper ffs

there were many top notch performances tonite but i gotta say:

Abu Diaby: a midfield masterclass tonite, flawless.

Cant really fault anyones performance last night. Defended well when we needed to and took our chances well. Diaby was superb, as was Song and Eboue done well when he come on.

Apart from about 10 minutes that was our best performance in a very very long time. And without Cesc too. 8) :barscarf: :barscarf:

I agree. Posters here said they wouldnt be upet if we went out so we play less games but i think its the opposite we can build a momentum with our recent wins and keep it going till the end of the season, hopefully

Yeah, we usually go on a good run at this time of the year, its just a question of whether we can do it while still in the mix for trophies

I never really thought we'd be where we are now. This season is turning out to be like one of those really scary roller coasters at Thorpe Park. I'm hanging on for dear life, enjoying the thrill and hoping I'll get to the end without dying of a heart attack. :o

Some concerning issues, our mentality early on in second half, Sol Campbell's performance, some ill discipline in failing to keep enough players back which is alarming.

Would rather concentrate on the positives. When your hatrick striker is outshone, you have had an exceptional attacking game. Nasri, Arshavin, Eboue rampaging while Song and Diaby kept control of the midfield, Clichy and Sagna providing width. Just glorious

That's so true. I've been up and down more often than a cheap whores knickers since September. This team are probably the most frustrating Arsenal team I've ever followed. At least with previous sides we knew roughly what we were going to get. With these lot you just have no clue who is going to turn up for each game.
Still, we're looking really good at the moment so let's hope they can push on.
