PRE GAME BARCA THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

anyway, we'll do it. c'mon you gooners!! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
Disagree there... clichy gets ripped apart by old fashioned wingers who go outside and stick a cross past him (Ashley Young, Nani)... players who trick and come inside don't normally get much change from Clichy
Finally someone knows Clichy. He is fit now and will be up for it. The only thing is Messi always cuts in and it will be Song's job to SIT and handly him when he rears his head in the middle.

The challenge will be whether we can outplay Barca up the middle. Their midfield hustle and harry for every ball, when out of posession they hassle people like Bolton hassle Arsenal. Arsenal's midfield tend to sit back and wait for mistakes, but Barca won't make those.

Watch games where the underdogs turn over the favourites, it is all about the hard work, closing down and grafting. Arsenal need to graft their arses off for 180 minutes.

(and hope Manure get done by Bayern)

Come on Arsenal! :barscarf: :barscarf:

This game is made for Arshavin and Cesc Barca play a high line and they can be got at. Am a realist but I believe we can do this if our defence holds.

Actually they haven't done that this season as well as they did last season, thats why they came under criticism that they are not as comitted as they were because they have won everything.

I think some of our players will be well chuffed with this draw.

Cesc going home.
Arshavin is a Barca fan.
Sol's got a 100% strike rate against them.
Almunia will have something to prove after Paris.

Jesus that's a tough draw. Messi is too damn good. But I agree its a more winnable tie that getting the Manc's. We need Gallas back. And RVP.

Still if we go out to Barca and the Manc's go all the way then we will have less games to play as we quietly sneak up the outside and win the Premiership ! :barscarf: Perhaps wishful thinking as Chavs dont have CL to worry about (ha ha ha) but it is a possibilty :?
