PRE GAME BARCA THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

FFS united get another easy draw I don't think we can beat Barca they will tear us to pieces. It's true we both play pretty football but we're just pretenders in comparison to Barca I just don't want a thrashing

Come On mate, its a game against another team, we have as good a chance of winning as we have of losing. Barcelona are not unbeatable.

Overall I think the defence has to be on top form in this game, for both sides really.

It's a Win-Win as far as I'm concerned. As the under-dogs, if we lose it won't be a big surprise and thus won't be as disappointing as losing to an English side or one of the weaker clubs would be.

And if we are victorious - which I surprisingly think we can be, as Barca's defence is almost as bad as ours - then we are one step closer to finally gaining the holy grail of the European Cup. 8)

Typical Sky crunts...
As soon as the draw was made, Sky were salviating at the prospect of a United vs Barca rematch in the FINAL.

I hope United get turned over, in their favourite fucking city :banghead:

I was thinking the same. Barca's defence is remarkable

Gallasfc never met you before but your opinion on Arsenal FC is so poor.

so what imagine iniesta v song blah blah

ok so a small, technically good player vs a tall, not as gifted defensive holder?

we have
theo v Maxwell?
arshavin v pique
cesc v yaya or busquets

This is the worst draw i could ever imagine,

The current holders, Barcelona Quarter-Final

It is nearly certain to be Inter Milan in the Semi-Final if we can get past barcelona.

If we manage to create a miracle and get to the final it would probably be Manchester United.

sorry guys, were OUT as far as i'm concerned.

as far as i'm concerned this is a 50/50 crap shoot. if we can somehow get lucky for once and have RVP back before the away leg we might just nick it.

it's a tough draw

but you (gallasshutdownburnmoneyvoice- whatever u are calling yourself this week) didn't think we could win anything at the beginning, or any point, of the season
from your constant negative tone u prob didn't think we would finish in the top four

and def didn't think we would be challenging for the league AND the Champions league a month before the end of the season

so as far as I'm concerned
your opinion ain't one 2b concerned about

I'm going to enjoy the trip

Your right i did think we'd be competing for fourth, so i was wrong as most were...

Enjoy the trip whilst you can mate because there won't be anymore european trips to go on this season. There is a huge gulp in class between us and barcelona and I can't see anyway we can get past them, thats all i'm saying.

Song has a hell of a job on him man-marking Messi out of the game. If I see him wandering off up in their half I swear I will have a fit!
