Did Anyone See The Sports Relief 'Smithy' Sketch?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Did Anyone See The Sports Relief 'Smithy' Sketch?

Post by I Hate Hleb »

Watched it yesterday afternoon before leaving for the match and it's one of the funniest things I have seen. I cried tears of laughter all the way through.

Is it just me, or was he a bit OTT?

It reminds me of times when everyone thought Johnny Vegas was funny just because he shouted a lot :? Mind you he was quite good in "IDEAL" :D

I watched it on youtube yesterday. I don't watch 'gavin & stacey' so it was hard for me to understand the amusement. :)

Fucking shit. The fat fuck's been massively over-exposed and his "humour" is really cringeworthy.

The sort of people who like "Smithy" also appreciate other useless fat fucks, like:
Stavros Flatley
Johnny Vegas (that advert he's on at the moment pisses me off especially)
Peter Kay

Actually, I'm not in to any of your examples - or even james corden himself. It's just that I inadvertently caught the sketch yesterday and it made me laugh. Lots!!! Especially the tennis one with Andy Murray. 8)

I'm in agreement with IHH - I don't like any of your other examples digger but just thought this was funny.

I think some of the audience he picked on were let in on the joke and were told to keep a straight face.
Don't think they knew the details of the gags but were laughing at the others being picked on. I think Seb Coe almost started to laugh when being picked on.

Still V Funny!

I thought it was great ... if you watch the 'making of' you can see that most of the stars at the SP awards were aware of what was going on, and had given the ok to him.

The only bit that annoyed me was the ManU scummers all over it.
