*Please help* - Contesting an on the spot traffic offence

A copper pulled me over for "allegedly" jumping a red light However the light was amber when I went through it. When I asked him if he had any proof he said "only my word."

Has anyone ever gone to court over something like this? What are my chances of winning? What will happen if I lose?

Was he on his own or with a colleague? Never admit anything, did you say to him it was amber to him when you went through it?

Do you have home insurance that offers legal assistance or are you a trade union member who has legal protection that way?

I'm a a postie and a member of the CWU. I've rang my union rep and he's gonna find out first thing in the morning if I'm entitled to free legal advice and/or representation. Thanks for the suggestion.
