HOW DID YOU END UP A FOOTBALL FAN AND ARSENAL SUPPORTER?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

i'm a football fan ever since i was born in brazil

i started following arsenal the day we signed my favourite player at the time, dennis bergkamp. around 98 i started "supporting" the club by reading post match reviews online and watching the goals and sometimes highlights on tv (it was all i could do)
 and in 2001 the matches started being broadcasted here, so i started watching all games and became a true supporter. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

All my mates were liverpoo and maure fans and when it came to decide who I would support I seen Ian Wright bag a rake of goals in his first two games for the Arsenal and i said I'm supporting them! Never looked back since!

My dad lived in between Arsenal and sp*rs, he used to watch us one week - sp*rs the next with his dad and older brother. His older brother started to enjoy Arsenal more so stopped going to sp*rs so he followed suit.....

Basically it could have very easily all gone wrong for me and i could have been a sp*rs fan   but thanks to my uncle and my dad i chose the right path :D Thanks Dad

Born into it.

All my Dad's family grew up in Islington and he was taken to Highbury as a boy by his Dad and Uncle, who then took me and my brother as kids.

I went to a Family Wedding a few years ago and I reckon there were 200 Gooners out of the 300 people.

I d love to have kids. The ONLY thing I have told the Mrs that could get them throw out is to dare to support anyone except the mighty Arsenal.:barscarf:

They.Will.Have.No Choice.

Its laughable when I meet kids who support a different team from their Dad/Mum.How does that happen ?
