Was there 2 years ago when Eddy broke his leg and will be there again on saturday. (Not a bad omen I hope) but hope we stuff the Brummie b****** and get proper revenge for Eddy.
Not many away fan friendly pubs round the ground Jetman, stick to the city centre - the Wellington in Bennetts Hill is good, then about 30 min walk or a cab is better.

If you like a decent pint there is a brill Anchor pub near to the bus station....the football ground guide says "...the Anchor Pub on Bradford Street, renowned for its range of real ales on offer, and named Birmingham 'CAMRA Pub Of The Year' on more than one occasion. Although there are a number of Blues fans that frequent the pub they tend to be of the CAMRA bearded variety and therefore as long as you don't turn up mobbed handed, you should be okay. The pub is situated just behind where the Digbeth coach station is being rebuilt".jetman wrote:I'll be there. First time to Brum so was wondering if those going by train are drinking in the city centre beforehand or if there is an away fans pub near the ground? Advice appreciated.

First away game in years and was thinking of going there myself - may grow a beard for the occassion and in homage to el capitan.MK Gould wrote:If you like a decent pint there is a brill Anchor pub near to the bus station....the football ground guide says "...the Anchor Pub on Bradford Street, renowned for its range of real ales on offer, and named Birmingham 'CAMRA Pub Of The Year' on more than one occasion. I think we'll be going to Brum by train from Northampton. Much cheaper than going from MK for some strange reason....and gives me the excuse to take a stroll to the Anchor on the way to the ground. If you see a fat grey haired bloke with 2 boys then come over and say hi....gooner_jules wrote:First away game in years and was thinking of going there myself - may grow a beard for the occassion and in homage to el capitan.MK Gould wrote:If you like a decent pint there is a brill Anchor pub near to the bus station....the football ground guide says "...the Anchor Pub on Bradford Street, renowned for its range of real ales on offer, and named Birmingham 'CAMRA Pub Of The Year' on more than one occasion. Match wise, I'm just hoping that Arsene comes up with a solution to Vermalen not being there that doesn't involve Silvestre!!! At his peak I never rated him and he makes me shudder whenever he plays for us.... He looks even more uncomfortable on the ball than Almunia dealing with a back pass.....
