Rocky's Anniversary 31st March - -RIP

Rocky's Anniversary 31st March - -RIP

Post by gooner007 »

It's the anniversary of his death next week. Was fortunate enough to see him play and will never ever forget those moments you brought to my life. RIP Rocky son. Thoughts are with Janet and his kids too

RIP ROCKY! :barscarf:

Just wanted to say think you should be doing a Rocky flag for next week and not a Cesc one, Cescs could be done at any time. Lets pour our hearts and voices out for him next week please!

Why not both?

There must already be a Rocky one somewhere.

Wonder if there will a silence/armband in his honour

Agree the anniversary should be recognised with a flag/banner.

What are the odds that Rosicky wearing Rocky's shirt be the match winner?

Anyone remember Pires wearing the no.7 scored a brilliant goal against the Spuds on the day he passed away. It was his first goal for us (I think?) How eerie was that?

Sure I saw his first goal when I was in Rome and we played Lazio, was a cracking goal as I remember it, it was when Mijhatovic spat in Paddys face and called him all sorts of racist shite

Not sure if that was Bobby's first goal, but that was the first time he was outstanding for us and became accepted by the highbury faithful. Was at Highbury that afternoon, a really emotional day but an amazing atmosphere. Even the Spurs fans respected his minute's silence; my faith in humankind was restored, for 90 mins.

Just to clarify, Pires's first goal for us was indeed at Lazio on October 18th, 2000.

The goal against Tottenham came on March 31st, 2001 (as is probably evident given the nature of this thread).
