WENGER WILL NEVER LEARN
WENGER WILL NEVER LEARN
Once again Wenger has gambled away any chance of a trophy, his starting line-up today was predictable, as it was exactly the same sort of panic stricken selection we have seen for the past 5 seasons when faced with having to prioritise “must win gamesâ€

AW will tell you the same shit...he is a strong boy with strong characters....Bring Back Pires wrote:Yep. All his eggs in one basket, and as a result, we'll be out of both the CL and PL running by Wednesday night.
And someone should be asking him questions about Almunia continually being chosen.

How Denilson started before Nasri in that central midfield role is beyond me.
Whenever Samir's played there he's been awesome.
Denilson was shocking today, possession spunked, tackles missed.
Why Rosicky was taken off christ only knows.
As for Almunia even being at the club well, that's down to one man.
Arsene has to hold his hand up tonight.

I have to admit, the team selection leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
Wenger spoke about Birmingham being the priorty, but whatever way you look at it, ARSHAVIN AND NASRI WERE RESTED for the Barca game. WENGER PRIORITISED THE CL OVER THE LEAGUE... and if you don't believe that, then just wait until the Barca game and I bet Nasri AND Arshavin both start.
Gutted, baffled and frustrated. Wenger - why did you do it???

Tha's what I am about to say, top corner and a good save...Only a man knows why we don't need a good goalie...I am tired of those shit of signing a 19 yr old goalie which he believes he will be the STAR!! FFS!! Can you just spend some $ to buy a good goalie pls?!!selsdon wrote:Arsene should a re-run of the Bolton v Utd match
Van Der Sar, that's what a world class keeper is capable of

I was shocked too when I saw the lineup. St. Andrews is not an esay ground. If AW wants 3 points, Arshavin and Nasri should start ahead of Walcott and Tomy.g88ner wrote:I have to admit, the team selection leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

But I hope Walcott will start for the Barca game to be honest. Bendtner is hopeless! Play Arshavin in front, Walcott and Nasri as wingers, Diaby in the central midfield. And hope we will get 2 goals (luckily)

I don't think there was anything particularly wrong with our starting line-up. Rosicky was our best player until taken off and Theo, although quiet, had our best chance of the half and looked our most dangerous forward (not difficult I know, given our general paucity in attack).
It's just that the team played below average first half; a bit better in the second, where we missed opportunites, and then criminally let the points slip when our mate in goal made another hash.
Like I said, I'm not sure the line-up or Wenger/the players thinking ahead to the Barca match was the reason we didn't win. Wenger's failure to strengthen the goal-keeping department was more of a contributory factor.
