It was a lucky goal to be fair, though it was a clanger yet again from Almunia. Its a shame, as just before he let the goal i was thinking, maybe we should give him a chance and that finaly he is getting into form again.
On a even less positive note, the team didnt play well at all today, and didnt seem to have the ambition to win at all. West ham was a tricky match for us also but we did pull together with 10 men. However we should be winning matches like birmingham and west ham more easy. Lets hope we come back into form asap!

6 wins from 6 is required, and even then you're hoping both Cheslea and ManUre drop points in at least 2 matches each

It really bugs me when people say we're out of the title race, then back in, and out again.... but lets just say that we're now defiantely an outsde bet again.
Just a shame we played a weakened team, as didn't think it was necessary.
Still, drop any more league points between now and the end of the season and maybe we'll be thankful we prioritised the Champions League, after all.
Bugger

He's known in some parts as Average Al and that says it all really. With him in the side we won't EVER win a thing. A complete liability. Remember with Seaman, you'd remark when and get excited when he made a World class save, Aluminia just has to make a save of any description and we get excited - that's how shit he is. He looked like a clown when we thrashed Celta Vigo all those years ago, and to be honest not a lot has changed since then.
What a fucking shit weekend.

Agreed. Len made stupid mistakes every now and then, but he can make some saves usually. AL? I just can't think of contributions to the team at all. Maybe those 2-3 pen saved this season!!!Rob - Admin wrote:He's known in some parts as Average Al and that says it all really. With him in the side we won't EVER win a thing. A complete liability. Let me be clear. Almunia is shite, but it's not his fault the manager picks him. If Wenger calls me, I'd be there in a split second.
I think the real problem lies in the team not ready to kill the game off.
Imagine United in the same situation. Giggs gets the ball, what does he do with it with 3 minutes to go? that's right, he runs as far away from his own goal as he can. What does The Arsenal do? continue to send players forward and try getting them into scoring chances, without even thinking of keeping the ball.
And what does the manager do. Does he tell the players to come the game down? No. Does he make a sub to waste time? No. Why the hell can't you get the f*cking players to run towards the corner flag and waste time? FFS, how can you win the league without wanting to win at all costs?!
The match was a 6 pm kick-off here, and I saw it on the pub, with tons of Chavs and Sp*rs *word censored*. When our goal went in I was in ecstasy, screamed like a fucking maniac. So you can imagine the reaction of the sp*rs fans when Brum scored their goal...

Re: Open letter to Manuel Almunia
We're all pizzed off with today - but to singly blame Manny is frrrkn out of order - anyone who's going to watch the arsenal and is intent on giving any of our players grief during the game then ffrkkk orf! IMOstorrmin571 wrote:Mr Almunia,
Do you realise what this result means to us the fans? The fact that we spend so much of our hard earned money following this club of ours The Arsenal? To cope in the face of such adversity against clubs who think nothing of spending £30m plus on a single player. All we ask is now and again to just hold on to our hopes and dreams for a few minutes just to hold on. I thank you for the save against West Ham but do you actually care as much as we do?
Emotions and feelings are raw at the moment, I or we may regret these feelings at the end of the season if we win the title or champions league but now it is too soon for me
Written from strawberry whilst drunk in barru feel free to criticsise me.
before the game have a moan- if i see anyone doing it at the game i WILL confront them (as i've done before)!
Our players need our support - lets all stand together and lift em onto victory on weds ????? YES ???
Are we in on this or have we forgotten the abuse some gave Song at Fulham and then Eboue last season - its the sort of thing the pricks do at Chelsea!
