Wengers Comments - He is Angry!

Arsene Wenger felt that Arsenal had once again been on the receiving end of a bad challenge after Cesc Fabregas picked up a knock in the 1-1 draw with Birmingham.

The Gunners captain suffered a knee injury following a Craig Gardner tackle in the first half of Saturday's game at St Andrews.

He was fit to continue but will have to be assessed again on Sunday as Wenger starts to look forward to the midweek UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona.

But Wenger could not disguise his frustration when questioned on the subject of tackling in his post-match press conference.

"How is Fabregas? I don't know. We will have to assess him tomorrow. But it was a bad tackle, one more," said Wenger.

Controversy
"He got tackled at the knee, kicked just under the knee. We tried to take him off but he said he was all right.

"Am I suggesting there were a lot of bad tackles? Leave me alone with that, for f***'s sake.

"You are always looking for controversy, you do not need me to tell you what happened on the pitch.

"I can give you my opinion about our game but you always create this controversy."
I dont think he has ever sworn in an interview before has he?

He is the king of spin. Every time we lose or get a disappointing result, he speaks out about something to take the focus off of the result and the fact that we're not quite good enough.

Cesc wouldnt go off ?? Who the fcuk is running this team ?? :? Put simply cesc was injured when diaby gave him a shocking pass that invited said tackle (and if any of our players had of made that tackle we would all be commending them for it) but if he was injured that badly then he would have been taken off and wouldnt be able to continue. More bullshit excuses from wenger today as he earlier blamed the pitch in a different interview  Anything is easier than accepting that you picked the wrong team or that you have 3 useless *word censored* vying for our keepers position and you bought them all arsene    :banghead:

This isnt a dig at Manny but if you asked the other prem teams if they would swap their keeper for ours how many would go for it???
It is a blind spot for Arsene but not the only one.
Arshavin was awful with the basic of shots seeming to be now impossible for him. He goes missing and gets involved when he fancies it. 4 days now to re shape our season raise it and pull together people!!

Damn right, if anything really causes me pain, it is our joke of a keeper.

Last season was bad enough, this one just kills me. In all the years I watched Arsenal, even John Lukic was better.

WE need a proper damn goalkeeper. We wil never win the title with AL as he costs us at least 10/12 points a season. It is NOT ROCKET SCIENCE...!!!!!

Does anybody have the video? In ATVO, they edited it.

He looked pissed at Almunia as well. He said it was an own goal by Almunia, and when he said the Spaniard name, you could sense the anger.

I think that if we win all our games 'till the end, we'll win the league. We need to get back on the horse and deliver. There is a chance still.

Wenger is at fault for yesterday more than Almunia in my opinion. I am stunned that he can't see how poor Almunia is!

I would like to see Wojciech Szczesny as our number one next season, i know he is very inexperienced but he has to be better than Alfymoo!

AA was not awful, in fact when he came on with Nasri we looked very dangerous each time we attacked.....for me AA was not magnificent but he was not awful....and yes i was at the game.

Iknow BG I fecking Knowwww! :banghead: :banghead:

I'm just hoping that he DOES realise he's F*cked Up by not signng a decent goalie, but knows that he cannot do anything about it till the end of this season...However IF he doesn't then get shot of hapless Al and flapper and buy a "Proper Keeper"...I'm gonna REALLY Lose it!

Why not play Szczesny fer fecks sake....he surely can't do any worse than those two uaseless twats :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

AA wasn't awful but in my opinion he was quite bad. He could've and should've scored the second goal and that would have been that. Just my 2 cents though.
