Diaby

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I wouldn't say that is a 'ridiculous' comment at all. 'GoonerN5' is quite right especially about Diaby who doesn't have very good tactical awareness. Alex Song has almost won me over but he is no comparision to Mattieu Flamini or obviously Vieira in his day.

Do you even watch football?
No mate ive had a season ticket for the last 20+ years just to look at
I don't care if you have had a season ticket since 1886, you obviously haven't got a clue!

Diaby and Song were easily our best players yesterday. Please explain to me how it was their fault we didn't win.
Read my post again and state where I said it was their fault we didnt win yesterday? What I said is that if we want to WIN the league then in my opinion we need better players than both Song and Diaby
You said we won't win the league because of players like Song and Diaby. Was yesterday not a game which will result in us not winning the league? Seeing as they were the best players on the pitch, I can only ask again, how was it their fault?

Why? Maybe if Diaby performed in every game then fair enough, but hes so inconsistant, good this week, more than likely he will be shit next week
Well, he gets more and more consistant every week. His doing much better than the start of the season.

I reckon that by next year he'll be as consistent as Song.

Song has been our best player of the season for us mate, and Diaby was the best player on the pitch yesterday .

I fucking hope your wind up, seriously

There no point responding to knee-jerk statements about Song and Diaby. Two players do not make a team. We will not win the league NOT because Diaby and Song are not good enough because they most definitely are (how in the world is Flamini better than Song and you have to compare Vieira at Song's age to know how special Song is). It will be because as a team we are not good enough. Diaby and Song have certainly been the massive for us lately. Just dont understand how a true Arsenal fan can possibly single them two out

Diaby is a very capable player and he played well yesterday, showed what he can do, but anyone who is suggesting that he has been anything but inconsistent this season just because he has had a couple of good games within the memory of the last few weeks, is kidding themselves.

He has put in performances like yesterday now and then for a number of seasons, but those performances have been intermingled with numerous frustrating below par performances and this season has been no different.

When he starts showing some long term consistency and by that i mean months of good performances as opposed to a couple of good ones now and then, then we can start talking about him as something other than a player of great potential who on the whole has not lived up to it, as yet...

Are you mental? If United can win the league with Carrick and Scholes then we can surely fucking win with Diaby and Song. Both of those two players are not our problem at all. Keeper + Striker = our problem.

Infuriating lanky twat. How many times did he lose the ball in advanced and defensive positions. :banghead: :banghead:
