How many times do you see these things in England probably more than any other Country?;
(BTW though my blood is Irish i am part English)
1/ Gang beatings (really brave stuff yeah 100's on 1)
2/ When someone fxxks up - lay into him in the press, media, even own supporters, instead of thinking of ways how to pick em up - at a time when they really NEED support!
3/ Vigilantes - those who think it's their place to 'sort out' the criminals and potentially 'pervert the course of justice' so the aggressor doesn't even get banged up for the time he/she should (even though in a lot of cases they don't even know the family involved!)
need i go on? Makes us proud yeah ? NOT !!!!!
Almunia is a nice bloke, isn't controversial with his mouth! - again another 'draw' for those who like 'picking on someone'!
I have supported him throughout and YES he was i believe one of our better players last season and this season hasn't gone entirely well for him. But again who's out there and available? Don't you remember the clangers our Jens Lehman used to do?
But, he (Manny) has had personal problems - but that doesn't matter to some does it?
But if they (the bullies) have personal probs - they want sympathy and understanding at work, from friends, family etc yeah?
We MUST Be TRUE supporters and as said sure debate amongst friends before and after the game - we all have our favs and those we dont like - but DURING THE GAME get off his back use your voices effectively TO SUPPORT HIM AND THE TEAM - Anyone who disagrees with my last statement IMO is NOT a true supporter!

Also I have heard about these personal problems but what exactly were they? I know a close family member on his wifes side died but I think there was more?
And before anyone blasts him saying he is a proffesional he should be able to get on with it etc there was a really good interveiw with Sagna about how his performances havnt been as good since his first season because of the death of his brother and hes only just coming to terms with it. Remember they are only human aswell.
If he isn't mentally fit because of outside circumstances, then he shouldn't be fucking playing "nice bloke" or not. Would you want to get on a plane with a suicidal pilot?seamoisalegend wrote:This.IrishJB wrote:How many times do you see these things in England probably more than any other Country?;

His injuries & the stomach virus mid-September which occured the same time i believe as his mother-in-law being killed in a car crash in Spain - the enevitable emotional effect it had on his wife Almunia's wife - because he was ill, he prob couldn't help her like he wanted to - as the family slowly came to terms with their loss.
But aside this when i look back at various blogs/postings on 606 in August 2009 of all things - so many were slagging him off even then! and despite him being voted 3rd best player for us by our fans 2008/09!
So, i think he's always been fighting a losing battle here at Arsenal.
Remember Jens? (love him or hate him) he made Manny's life hell too - publically (and prob in the training ground) launching verbal attacks on him whenever Manny took over or got close to taking over the Jersey!
