Almunia appreciation thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He was one oh our best players last season and then the family member died. So your statemeant is very incorrect.

Even if he put's in a man of the match display tonight, (which i doubt) i'd still want him down the road in summer. He's just not good enough to play for our club, sorry but he's not!!

Agreed!
He was man of the match at ot in the first leg last year and then a complete clown in the second, getting beat from 40+ yards at his near post.
As for saving penalties, you can seet that sort of act at a fucking fairground, and thats the right place for all 3 of our keepers.

he can have the odd good game but that doesnt get away from the fact he aint good enough.

also mad jens made no where near as many clangers as average al. jens dropped a couple of really stupid non goalkeeping errors (ie not in respect of saves/ reflexes, more to do with hanging on to the ball too long) in his time and was dropped. al makes shit loads, and goalkeeping ones to boot, ie not saving shots they he should and is mostly immune.

Jens was treated disgracefully by mr wenger in his last season

He always undoes all his hard work making a good save by throwing the ball out to a player under pressure
