lets look on the bright side!!!!

at least he wont be leaving us this summer

in all seriousness this is the worst news i've heard since reading henry had officially left (even though we all knew it was happening)
whatever it is he won't be back this season, what arsene needs to do now is make AA23 watch the pen over and over until he gets a tiny bit of the passion cesc has for this club.

i have no doubts nasri can step up, hes been brilliant lately, gonna be a fucking tough run in without him now though

WE LOVE YOU CESC!

It still isn't confirmed?

Don't despair until it is.

Was going to say the same thing. The only evidence we have is Cesc limping around and saying "I've probably broken my shin". I very much doubt he'd even be able to limp if that was the case. It's probably bad bruising.

Radford149, I absolutely agree with you, it should be the Managers call.
Like he did with Gallas, OK granted that was not the right choice, but he made it.

Cesc would of been better off rested, and then after our awesome come back, we could of made a accurate assesment on his fitness for the rest of the season.

Still hindslight is a wonderful thing.... :banghead:

By Richard Clarke

Cesc Fabregas fears he may have broken his leg.

The Arsenal captain is unclear precisely when he picked up the problem but it may well have been BEFORE he stroked home the dramatic 84th-minute penalty that drew his side level in Wednesday's glorious Champions League Quarter-Final first leg against Barcelona at Emirates Stadium.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic struck twice in the second half to give the visitors a deserved lead. But the introduction of Theo Walcott made the difference. His goal gave Arsenal a lifeline two minutes after coming on. Just before the end, Carlos Puyol fouled Fabregas and the midfielder scored from the spot.
"I took the penalty quite strongly but after, when I went to get the ball, I could not walk anymore," he said. "I don't know if I did it then or when I was fouled.
"It is the fibula. I think I put my leg between Puyol's when I was fouled and kicked it.
"I fear the worst, which is that I have broken something. But we have to wait. The scans will tell us if it is something or nothing.
"I do not think it is going to be good news but still I hope there will be."
* Arsenal.com hope to have a full injury update later on Thursday.

Even though you are a troll lurker, the thought did occur to me.

Be careful taking the moral high ground though; you are a supporter of a club which participates in a vile chant about our manager and even sells it on a cd of club favourite songs. The same hypocrite club that runs to the media asking fans of your local rivals not to participate in vile chants on the anniversary of Munich.

You stated in another thread about England needing Rooney but you have a manager who has always pulled out English players from internationals on the flimsiest of pretences. Slur Alex and Fat Sam reasons for membership of the BBC Avoidance Club shows there is no room for any moral high ground at your debt-ridden club.

Let's just hope the official news will be better.

It's probably wishful thinking, but I have a feeling Cesc will be back to SHL, to kill sp*rs..

I see it this way

If Rooney has a slight sprain and wears the biggest caste seen on a leg, i sense that Cesc will be ok....Man City at home....he will play

The fact that it is taking so long to hear, I would take as a positive, ffs if his leg was broken then surely they would know by now.
The Vermaelan "injury" earlier this season had the same kind of lack of proper info from the club.

I doubt it's broken, but it didn't look good.....

He wasn't fit enough to play but dragged us back into the tie winning and converting the penalty, despite having a very quiet game.

With Barca having 2 reserve centre backs next week we must have a slim hope or scoring!

Just watched this interview with him and no mention of it being broken or the season being over. God, i love cesc!

What worries me - and not many people have mentioned this - is Clichy limping at the end. If he's out, we face the propsect of Sylvestre vs Messi
