Camera Man Dies At Arsenal/Barca Match

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Hi All Gooners

Paul and I would like to add to the condolences already made to the camera man who sadly passed away on Wednesday, our thoughts are with his family.

Please don't speculate. This is how things get twisted in the media. I'd like to think that decent Arsenal fans are better than that. Please think that his family may stumble upon this and they will have very little idea of what happened.

Found out the day after, my mates are stewards at Emirates. And it was only put in the paper today. I thought it was a disgrace in the sun, a little note giving us the details, then in the same box/section, advertising tommorows game in 3D. Shambles

We all love football and the passion when we win/lose is unlike anything we feel...but human life, despite what Shankly may have said, is way more important than what is essentially a game. RIP and condolences to the family. That is what you call perspective.
