It only seems to be Gooners sharing our optimism as we are heavily tipped to lose. Barca seems to be everybody's favourite club at the moment. With all our injuries it is going to be tough but if we can scrape through it will be one of our most satisfying victories.

A bit like when we beat Parma (when they had Brolin et al) in ECWC final and nobody gave us a chance.
Or when we beat Real at the Bernabeu in the European Cup.
Or when we were 1-3 down after first leg against Anderlect in the 1970 Fairs Cup.
Or '89 at Anfield.
Arsenal have always loved these let's-show-'em games.
I'm expecting same tomorrow.

yes that is what it seems, but heres the thing.Every teams defence is dependent on a LEADER. Chesea has terry, united hav ferdinand, this season for us its been vermaelen/sol. Their defence looks really insecure with two players who have not played much, infact...BARELY PLAYED this season. (marquez has played 2 games..milito has played 9 ). I think barcelona are gonna struggle in defence, as are we ...its gonna be a high scoring game. Imo , we are gonna end their champions league campaign tonight.Charlie! Don't know much about Milito but Marquez is a reasonable replacement and big game for Bojan as he has a bit to prove.
Going to be tough, come on you rip roarin reds!
according to the guardian's sid lowe, marquez is completely shit. and these two have never played together at centerback this season.Charlie! Charlie! wrote:Who will be there CB pairing? I watched a game in La Liga recently where Barca substitued Puyol and Pique and replaced them with these two - they may not have played much but they have definitley played together. We shall see, I hope they are both *****!!aashman94 wrote:according to the guardian's sid lowe, marquez is completely shit. and these two have never played together at centerback this season.Charlie! On the contrary, it is Marquez that is the weak link and the Barca fans know it to. He has gone down hill over the last 2 years mainly because of injuries.Charlie! Both Milito and Marquez dont have to full composure on the ball like Pique and Puyol and they will have a problem with Bendtner's height not to mention Theo's pace.
