Barcelona vs Arsenal thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We are playing against the European Champions.
Do you see how far away we are from them, Arsene?

True, but i'm fed up of us not having a chance against the big teams & there's only one person who can take responsibility for that.

You can't compare. We do not have the resources to build a team like that. Even when we have players, teams like Barca will always snap them up.

What will the boss say? I 'm going for some, if not all of the following:

I was pleased with the spirit and determination of the team.
Apart from the four goals, what did Messi actually do?
We are young and learning.
With time, this team will be good.
Our ball circulation was good.
I thought we gave Barcelona a difficult time tonight.

No shame in this defeat, cant be mad at the team because players like Diaby, Bendtner, Denilson even Theo to some extent are just not good enough.

Hope we learn, hope Arsene learns.

Shame, if we had Cesc, Gallas, Arshavin and Song, who knows what may have happened - possibly not 4-1 any way.

Trouble is, when the CL QF back up is the likes of Silvester, and on the bench Eduardo, Eastmond, Merida and Traore - well, words defy me.

Wenger should've bought in the summer, we've scraped by the skin of our teeth up to now, when we've played the likes of Man U, Chelsea and now Barca our short-comings have been massively exposed

I just can't get over how amazing Messi is for a 22 year old.
For me he was the difference

Back in the mid-90s, Fergie went there, got smashed 4-0 and it showed him just how far away he was from being a top force with Manure. He then wielded the axe and got in the best players he could get his hands on. Will Wenger do the same?
