Tactically i think Wenger got it wrong tonight. First of all, i would of sacrificed a player just to sit on Messi, keep on him, dont go forward just keep with him, and if he's not within a yard of him i would have wanted to know why. All of his goals he was in acres of space. Just say to Denilson for example, stick with him.
Secondly, i personally think we tried beating them at there own game, weve seen United a few years ago, go over and just stop them playing, block the midfield, let them have it out wide, cross it to nobody. Chelsea did the same when they played them last year, when Alves and Abidal can cross it all day long, our two center backs will deal with that all day long. Instead we forced them inside and let Xavi pick passes willy nilly.
I dont like to pick certain players out tonight but i think Rosicky and Denilson were especially off key tonight.

pissed off, why the fuck didnt we buy in jan, van p out for season and nick b ( to be fair has scored some crucial goals) is meant to be the answer, as back up centre half we have big sol and x manc, fucking joke, we should have gone for huntelar etc in jan and spent a little,

I don't see the flapping point anyway. I don't see what Mourinho can do with a low transfer budget that Wenger can't. We're never gonna beat a team of Barcelon'a calibre without sorting out the team. Certain players, you all know who, are just not good enough. End of!!kingjayson1 wrote:What are the odds on Mourinho being our 1st signing of the summer?

We dont have the players to win with your "tactically hypothesis". Its easy to speak in hindsight but the fact is even that Utd or Chelsea team of then will get nowhere near this Barcelona team.Connolly55 wrote:Tactically i think Wenger got it wrong tonight. Im not too sure mate, Chelsea were very unlucky last year, they should have spanked them at the Bridge.GunnerDude wrote:We dont have the players to win with your "tactically hypothesis". As I said that was last year this is 2010, Messi of then is not Messi of 09/10 season nor is the Barcelona team the same either.Connolly55 wrote:Im not too sure mate, Chelsea were very unlucky last year, they should have spanked them at the Bridge.GunnerDude wrote:We dont have the players to win with your "tactically hypothesis". Agree if we put someone on messi the space for the others increases so they will punish us insted. No Team in the world could cope with them, Souness said he thinks they are the best club side he has ever seen.GunnerDude wrote:We dont have the players to win with your "tactically hypothesis". I suppose you at least have reason not to support your local team.leedsgooner wrote:Dr Dull turns up to rub it in! What a sad little man. The only nights like this you ever have end with a sticky patch in your pyjama bottoms. Fuck off back to your Bovril you mug
My presence here wasn't meant as any form of wind-up. I have already listed my credentials as a part time gooner. Perhaps the arguments have been rehearsed elsewhere, but my point is "what the fuck are you doing playing in white?" I have just had exactly that conversation with Mrs Hull, who said "I though Arsenal played in a yellow change kit and white is Spurs' colours".
And all the wanking over Barca by Gray pissed me off, but then he does the same for any big four club in the PL
Half of tonight's team was "squad players". What's Rosicky's excuse? Enough of the flattering to deceive I say.
Not much to add to what has been said. Better team won. Still a pisser given that we went 0-1 up and couldn't hold it for five minutes.
Just hope we can harness the disappointment into three points against the scum(*).
* Who have not stopped going on on Facebook etc about Barca and Messi. I thank Mourinho for bringing the word voyeur to the football table, as they are the ultimate voyeurs. I'm glad my interest in football extends to more than supporting whoever my "rivals" are playing.

It's ridiculous, I've got West Ham fans on mine goading about Barcelona's amazing success.antgel wrote: * Who have not stopped going on on Facebook etc about Barca and Messi.
