The fact is we were outclassed tonight and last week but you cant ignore the fact that we did not have anywhere near our strongest starting 11 out there tonight. If we had a fully fit Cesc, Gallas, RVP, Arshavin and Song we would hav made much more of a game of it and would not have rolled over so easy in the first leg. The club seriously has to look at what is going on behind the scenes whether it is a problem with the players themselves, the training methods or the treatment but the fact that our squad cant last the season is a joke to be quite honest. There seems to always be these niggling injuries and knocks which the players should be more resiliant to.
On another note the Ref tonight at times was inconsistent. The Denilson booking for once again a perfect tackle exactly the same as Militos on Nasri and he gets booked for it however two minutes earlier one on the barca players deliberatily tripped Theo from behind stopping a swift counter and no card is shown.

if only the board had pulled their finger out of their arse and offered him deal, the same will happen with Gallas in the summer.VforVictory wrote:Fail to see how Rosicky, Bendtner and Walcott could be expected to have good games when they were rarely passed to.
Nasri, Denilson, Diaby was a midfield that neither controlled Barcelona or created.
If only we still has Flamini.

That pretty much sums it up for me.Deise Gooner wrote:The fact is we were outclassed tonight and last week but you cant ignore the fact that we did not have anywhere near our strongest starting 11 out there tonight. We were undone by a team with probably the best player in the world, while we were without most of our core players.
I think Fabregas, Arshavin, Gallas and Song would have made a big difference in this match.
I also don't think we have anything to be ashamed of.

Can't blame board on that one, Flamini priced himself out cos he wanted to leave. He knew board would not meet his demands.Deise Gooner wrote:if only the board had pulled their finger out of their arse and offered him deal, the same will happen with Gallas in the summer.VforVictory wrote:Fail to see how Rosicky, Bendtner and Walcott could be expected to have good games when they were rarely passed to.

I just wish we had replaced him, Diarra looked good but was mental so had to leave too.
Gallas will leave in summer and he is good but we should buy a taller replacement anyway.

Bayern had their first team out there in that game, we dint.Kiki wrote:Does anyone remember last year when Bayern Munich were beat by Barca there Genaral Manager wasnt too happy with his manager and let it be known - a great team like Bayern being humbled, no matter the opposition, was not good enough.

Were Barca at full-strength? Yes or No?GunnerDude wrote:Bayern had their first team out there in that game, we dint.Kiki wrote:Does anyone remember last year when Bayern Munich were beat by Barca there Genaral Manager wasnt too happy with his manager and let it be known - a great team like Bayern being humbled, no matter the opposition, was not good enough.
No Puyol, No Pique, No Ibrahimovich for a start. How fit Iniesta was, I don't know but I dont think he was 100% either.
