I think he will almost certainly be our Capt before long. TV has been consistant throughout this season. I think Messi would of been hard to keep quiet last night on his form. He was damn well excellent last night.

Let's give TV some credit, Gallas and him have played well together this season. Plus remember Arsenal are very rarely set up for a 1-0 result nowdays.

I watched the highlight's of the game and while TV didnt have his finest hour for us, I suppose there was mitigating circumstances in the that he was playing in the Right-Hand Side of the Centre Back's for most of the game while he normally playes in the left side.

I would be amazed if he doesnt make the Premier League Team of The Year.

Vermaelen is a star - a brilliant player and someone that looks as if he could drag a team along with him, just like Tony Adams used to.

To slag him off after one iffy game is daft.

Even Franco Baresi would have struggled last night, facing Messi in that form whilst having to do Silvestre's work as well.

Did anyone see vermaelen towards the end of the wolves game? Was trying to win the game by himself... the lad is fucking class, has had a brilliant season.

Vermaelen is by far the best defender to wear the shirt since Adams. If more of his team mates had his desire we would be sitting pretty at the top of the league. The guy is a legend in the making.

I realise that maybe I was a tad harsh on Thommy but I feel my inital post was to let out my feelings about a player whose errors have cost us in the big games as much as any other player yet has been overlooked for criticism in comparison to others. Don't get me wrong I like the bloke, good player who can improve, but he's been at fault for many a goal conceded this season, make no mistake about it.
