Have to say that BG does talk a lot of sense.
I'm only new on here myself and to put it mildly, I don't have many fans, I'm sure you'll all agree. But could it have something to do with fact that up until recent years everyone was in in the same camp regarding AW.
But now the general fan's opinion is so split that this is causing very conflicting views and ideas of the way the club is going, ergo you are bound to get disagreement, as we've seen.
I would go so far as to say that our support base may not be as united as in previous years. This IS a strange time in the clubs history.
IMO.

the point is: had we not went from "buyers" to "sellers", and had we not turned one of the greatest teams i ever saw (and one that won beautiful trophies) into one with youngsters that are always "near it" but never win anything, i'm sure everyone here would be still loving arsene wenger.
the only difference is that we rosetinters understand it had to happen due to a lot of financial issues (ie the fact we don't have a billionare owner, our new stadium) and some other ones (lack of strenghtening is key positions, too many injuries, and even bad luck) and we accept that these path arsene chose is the right one for the future, while realists say fuck it, we need to spend more, 'cause we'll win trophies that way.
no one disagrees that we were a better team five years ago. however we think this is the way to do it, and realists don't.
but the key factor that people often forget is: we all support the same team. we all want arsenal to win. so let's stop that realists versus rosetinters bullshit and get behind the arsenal, 'cause that's the best we can do.

AA - You maybe don't have many fans on here because of the nature of your posts - not the content, nothing to do with your opinions on Arsenal.brazilianGOONER wrote:thank you mateAaron Inglis wrote:Have to say that BG does talk a lot of sense.

BG - realists say "fuck it, we need to spend more...." - that's in the main wrong BG, and i think you know that.

I find myself spending more and more time rummaging around in the basement, replying to non-football related threads.![]()
I think a lot of it is down to the recent influx, who seem to post for the sake of it and often on a topic that is already being discussed. And when their opinion is challenged they revert to childish insults.![]()
I for one hope that the summer break will see most of them disappear, if not I fear I can't see myself spending much time on here next season. (hurrah I hear you say)
Anyway Does anyone else feel the same?
Yeah I agree. But over a longer period. When I first joined this was a very different place. Rebel didn't even have 100 posts.

There are periods where the forum is nothing more than a "lets all chat shit" forum and i reckon thats what intices in the WUM and trolls as they see the place as somewhere you can use any email address to register and people just post crap so they join in.
I find myself only responding on threads that certain other members have posted on as a kind of guarantee that any responses will at least be on topic.
i hate to say it but a better form of registration system is needed, that way we can still keep the free for all attitude of the forum but still be able to identify and name and shame offending members.
